Dr. Haley Spotts is a dedicated OB/GYN at Women's Health Services, proudly serving women in Arlington and Grand Prairie, Texas. She is driven by a passion for partnering with women to ensure their well-being.

Dr. Spotts was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology from the University of Texas at Austin. She then moved to San Antonio, where she earned her medical degree at the Long School of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2019. She finished her residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 2023 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple, TX. 

She is excited to return to the DFW area and is honored to serve the women of Arlington. Dr. Spotts takes the time with each patient to ensure their comfort and individualize their care. Joan Bergstrom, MD, FACOG, MBA, is the founder of Women’s Health Services. With more than 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Bergstrom was the first female OB/GYN to serve the Arlington and Grand Prairie, Texas, communities. A compassionate and dedicated physician, Dr. Puffer is committed to building strong relationships with her patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care. She established her private practice at Women’s Health Services in Arlington Texas, to provide personalized and comprehensive women's healthcare.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Dr. Puffer relocated to Texas in 1992 and pursued undergraduate studies in biology at the University of Texas at Austin. She later earned her medical doctorate from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where she discovered her passion for women’s healthcare. Following medical school, she completed her OB/GYN residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, refining her expertise in patient care and surgical techniques.

As a highly skilled physician and gynecological surgeon, Dr. Puffer specializes in treating a broad spectrum of women’s health conditions, including high-risk pregnancies, uterine fibroids, birth control, endometriosis, uterine descensus, menstrual pain, and menopause. Joy Carter, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN who provides outstanding care to women of all ages at Women’s Health Services. With more than 12 years of clinical experience, Dr. Carter provides a wide array of women’s health services to her patients.  She is now focusing her practice on gynecology and has special certification in the treatment of Menopause.

Dr. Carter is dedicated to patient education and strives to empower her patients to make informed decisions about their personal health. She offers warm, compassionate care to all patients with gynecological conditions such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, uterine descensus, abnormal bleeding, and menopause.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, Dr. Carter earned a Master of Science in biological science from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where she also completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology.

Dr. Carter is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and she is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She and her husband, Brian, have three children. In her leisure time, she enjoys knitting and outdoor activities such as camping and hiking.
