Dr. Alleyne is a native of Hartford, Connecticut, and of Caribbean parentage (Barbados and Jamaica). Jensen understands the challenges that injuries and chronic pain can cause more than some would know. Growing up in Oakland he played basketball and baseball as a teen and sustained a number of injuries, including a broken ankle and stress fractures in his lower back, he was on the patient side of the health care relationship. This eventually underwent successful surgery on his ankle. “I got introduced to the field of medicine, orthopedic surgery and pain management during that time and have so much respect for the practice and its practitioners, because I saw that you can get injured but then recover and be back to full functionality under the supervision of skilled doctors and physical therapists.”

He is the creator of a unique, patented knee brace with a multidimensional neoprene support called the “Victory Knee Brace,” which was first introduced at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting in San Francisco in 2004.

He is a Diplomate of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and possesses a subspecialty certificate in orthopaedic sports medicine. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Khabie is the former Chief of Surgery at Northern Westchester Hospital, where he is also the co-director of the Orthopaedic and Spine Institute. He is a former Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU and currently is an Assistant Clinical Professor at New York Medical College. He is recognized as a NY Top Doctor for 2024–2025 by NY Top Docs (USA Top Docs Division)

Dr Khabie serves as the Medical Director and Orthopedic Surgeon to Pace University Athletics, an NCAA Division II sports program.

When Dr. Khabie is not performing arthroscopic surgery, he is a senior ringside physician for the New York State Athletic Commission, where he cares for professional boxers and has been ringside for numerous world championship bouts. He also cares for professional, collegiate, high school and recreational athletes.

Dr. Khabie is a published author of medical literature and has made numerous presentations to both local and national groups. He was the sports medicine column writer for a local newspaper, The Patent Trader. He has appeared on NBC News, The Today Show, and local TV programs. He has been widely quoted in the media by organizations, such as ESPN, The Associated Press, and Reuters. Dr. Khabie was featured in the New York Times article, "When the Bell Sounds, Surgeon Answers Ringside Calling.” He was also a featured guest on Sirius XM Radio, Starz Channel’s "Broadminded," and the CBS Early Morning Show’s "Surgeon by Day, Ringside Doctor by Night.” He is also a regular guest host on "Talk Back Live" WOR Radio, New York 710 AM.

Andrew Peretz, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spinal surgery. Dr. Peretz joined Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group, PLLC, in 1997, and he treats spinal disorders in both adults and pediatric patients at the practice’s locations in Fishkill, Newburgh, and Carmel, New York.

Dr. Peretz received his degree in chemistry from Princeton University and earned his medical degree from the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. Dr. Peretz then completed his fellowship in spinal surgery at the Institute for Spinal Disorders at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

He is currently a member of the North American Spine Society, the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Peretz is a member of the Medical Society of New York State, the Medical Society of Westchester County, and the American Medical Association. He has co-authored several publications and research articles involving the spine. He is recognized as a NY Top Doctor for 2024–2025 by NY Top Docs (USA Top Docs Division).

Dr. Peretz’s current hospital affiliations include Putnam Hospital Center, where he is the Director of the Spinal Institute, and Northern Westchester Hospital. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases.
