Jeffrey McAlister, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon, who specializes in advanced foot and ankle reconstruction with offices in Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. McAlister’s passion for patient care began at the University of Iowa, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in 2004, before garnering an interest in podiatric medicine and surgery during his time at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.
Since his days as a podiatric medical student, Dr. McAlister has gone on to continue his education whenever possible. He completed a rigorous residency training in the northern Virginia suburbs through the INOVA Fairfax Hospital Podiatric Residency program, where he received specialized training in foot and ankle trauma, adult and pediatric reconstruction, and diabetic limb salvage.
Some of Dr. McAlister’s rotations during his time in the program included internal medicine, infectious diseases, vascular surgery, emergency medicine, and general surgery.
Under the mentorship of prominent doctors like John Steinberg DPM and Chris Attinger MD, Dr. McAlister even served as chief resident for the limb salvage service at Georgetown University Hospital during that time.
Dr. Jeffrey E. McAlister is honored to be one of only a few podiatric surgeons in the United States that has completed a 12 month surgical fellowship at the prestigious Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center in Columbus, Ohio. This is a unique fellowship that trains both Podiatric and Orthopedic Surgeons. This advanced surgical training focused on foot and ankle trauma, reconstruction as well as total ankle replacement. This was completed in Columbus, Ohio under the direction of Christopher Hyer, DPM, Gregory Berlet MD, Thomas Lee MD and Terrence Philbin DO and was affiliated with Grant Medical Hospital and The Ohio State University. This is the same type of fellowship that MD/DO orthopedic surgeons complete if they wish to sub-specialize in the foot and ankle.
As a fellow member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and national speaker and peer educator, Dr. McAlister is passionate about technological advances in the foot and ankle field, specifically in educating patients on the advantages of primary and revision total ankle arthroplasty.
Dr. McAlister was a featured speaker at the ACFAS 2019 Conference
Between six educational lectures and four podcasts, he got into the weeds of his specialty as a leading spectator in the field of ankle reconstruction
“Dr. McAlister did my TAR surgery 2 years ago, and the total experience has been very good. The consultation at the beginning gave me needed answers, the surgery went well, and the follow-up visits have been helpful.
Dr. McAlister is pleasant and helpful, and going through the process with him was quite positive.”

Through active listening and thoughtful questioning I try to provide quality compassionate care that takes the patient's life circumstances into account to create a treatment plan that has the greatest chance for success. For those that require surgery I trained at one of the elite surgical programs in the country and have continued to increase my education for the benefit of those I serve. I have lectured and published extensively on reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle and continue to be active in resident education. I take the privilege of being able to provide care to others very seriously, and consider it an honor when one of our patients refers one of their friends or family to us demonstrating their confidence in us.
“I have been a patient of Dr. Treadwell since 12/2022.
Two foot surgeries 6/2023 & 6/2025.
Could not have received better care.
Would highly recommend.”

“Excellent professional services provided by Karolina Varnay, D.P.M. at South Denver Podiatry. I will plan to continue to see Dr. Varnay without hesitation for all of my future Podiatry care needs.”
“My experience with Dr. Garber is very positive. She quickly and professionally examines my feet while asking questions about my foot-health as well as my general health. She suggests or recommends actions to improve my health. Then she cuts my toenails after which, her assistant Corrina files them smooth. Her approach is always friendly and relaxed as it is knowledgeable and professional. I have recommended her to others similarly pleased.”

Dr. Harris earned his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. After completing his residency training, Dr. Harris became board certified through the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM).
Born and raised in a small town in Arkansas, Dr. Harris learned early on that respect for fellow neighbors is important. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Harris enjoys bass fishing, golfing, and hunting. He resides in Flower Mound with his wife and their son.
“Dr. Harris is happy and outgoing. His staff is equally nice. My procedure was quick and painless. My recovery was fast, and uneventful. I highly recommend him!”
