From an early age, my parents encouraged a curiosity and inquisitiveness in humanity. This attracted me to the profession of psychiatry, which gave me the opportunity to have a positive impact on an individual. Empowering each patient is of my highest concern and I make every effort to instill confidence and provide support through the healing process.
Outside my work, my utmost pleasure is in spending time with my two children and my wife. I also enjoy reading historical fiction and traveling.
MIU Center was created by Dr. Munachim Uyanwune in 2021. Dr. Uyanwune fondly known as “Dr. U” was inspired to create this practice in response to all the turbulent events in 2020, particularly the coronavirus pandemic, racial discrimination and the stigma associated with mental health. While growing up, Dr. Uyanwune saw untreated mental illness in her community. She learned that the impact of this extends wide, affecting the individual, their family and their community at large. At MIU Center, we realize people are unique and hence each person will require different approaches in helping them reach their vision and goals. MIU Center provides medication management for treatment of behavioral health disorders.
“Dr Wagner is always very kind, attentive and focused on me and how I am doing. My progress from the beginning has been very good and the combination of medications successful. I have been very pleased and happy with my results and confidently recommend Dr Wagner to help others.”

“Dr. Hirsch has been an outstanding physician until my last visit on February 12, 2026! I spent a 30 minutes on the phone and 1 week later the doctor has yet to send my prescription to my pharmacy, nor have I been able to receive any responses or answered calls or call backs... unacceptable, and extremely disappointing!
