She graduated from Dow Medical College in 2001 and completed her Psychiatry Residency at Harlem Hospital Center in New York City in 2010. Julie Bergman, PMHNP, is a highly qualified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of professional experience. As the founder and owner of Grace Mental Health Resources, INC, in Folsom, California, Julie's primary goal is to help her patients reach their full potential physically, mentally, and emotionally to create the lives they have always wanted. Julie started her medical career serving in the U.S. Army. She has over 30 years of experience in the field of mental health and looks forward to offering compassionate care to those in the greater Louisville metro area.
Professionally, Hazel wears many hats; she is a licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor, a certified marriage and family therapist, peer support specialist, domestic violence batterer intervention provider (BIP), an ordained minister, and a moral reconation therapist (MRT). She is also a member of the International Certificiation and Reciprocity Consortorium (IC&RC).

Hazel started her education in social services at Peralta College in Alameda County, California. She offers compassionate counseling services in group and individual settings and facilitates intensive outpatient treatment programs and residential treatment. She also oversees recovery programs, including Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).

In her personal life, Hazel is a mother to two children and a grandmother of eight. She is also active in her church as an assistant minister. She is currently working on expanding her practice to California while also working on new projects here in Louisville.
