Derek A. Kram, MD, FAAOS is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with extensive experience in General Orthopaedic Care, Knee Reconstruction and Sports Medicine. He has practiced for over twenty years at the Greater Washington Orthopaedic Group, PA, with offices in Silver Spring, Rockville, and Germantown, Maryland. Dr. Kram provides a wide range of effective treatments, services and procedures. He specializes in knee replacement surgery, sports medicine, and arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder. He is a considerate and thorough Physician who spends time with each patient so that they can formulate an individualized treatment plan together in order to optimize the patient‘s outcome and recovery.
Dr. Kram graduated from Tufts University in Massachusetts in 1987 and the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York in 1991. He finished his residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in 1996 before completing his fellowship in Knee Reconstruction and Sports Medicine at the Jewett Orthopaedic Clinic in Florida in 1997. During his fellowship, he acted as Assistant Team Doctor for the National Basketball Association’s Orlando Magic team, as well as the Assistant Team Doctor for the University of Central Florida’s football and basketball teams.
