Matthew Rogell, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group. He has practiced in the greater Danbury, Connecticut, area since 2006.

With fellowship expertise in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery, Dr. Rogell also specializes in procedures for adult total joint and reconstruction of the knees, hips, and shoulders. He uses the latest technology, bringing to his patients the use of stem cell and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapies and patient-specific joint reconstruction.

He attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, followed by two years of research at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Rogell attended Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his surgical internship at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Scott Levin, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in sports medicine at Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group. Dr. Levin graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Temple University and completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Stony Brook University in New York, where he was selected as the Administrative Chief Resident during his final year. He went on to complete his sports medicine fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, where he developed expertise in evaluating sports-related injuries and the skills to treat them with a minimally invasive technique.

During his time at Lenox Hill, he also had the opportunity to work with many professional and collegiate athletes, serving as an assistant team physician for the New York Jets and the New York Islanders, in addition to Hofstra University and Hunter College. Scott Levin, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in sports medicine at Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group. He is proud to provide care to patients at the practice’s locations in Mount Kisco, Fishkill, Newburgh, and Carmel, New York, and Danbury, Connecticut.

Dr. Levin graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Temple University and completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Stony Brook University in New York, where he was selected as the Administrative Chief Resident during his final year. He went on to complete his sports medicine fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, where he developed expertise in evaluating sports-related injuries and the skills to treat them with a minimally invasive technique.

During his time at Lenox Hill, he also had the opportunity to work with many professional and collegiate athletes, serving as an assistant team physician for the New York Jets and the New York Islanders, in addition to Hofstra University and Hunter College. Dr. Levin continues to serve as the team physician for local high school teams, including Horace Greeley High School and Somers High School, and is the assistant team physician for Pace University. He is the co-author of several research articles, including book chapters on various orthopaedic procedures.

Dr. Levin cares for both high-level competitive athletes and weekend warriors and takes a team approach with his patients to get them back in the game. He has extensive experience in both non-operative and operative treatment of injuries of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee with a focus on minimally invasive arthroscopic treatment. He is one of only a few providers in Westchester County and the Hudson Valley with a specialized clinical interest in arthroscopic treatment of the hip, using advanced arthroscopic techniques to treat various hip disorders, such as labral tears and femoroacetabular impingement. In addition, he performs office-based ultrasound-guided injections, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapy.
