Gabriel L. Petruccelli is an accomplished board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopy, sports medicine, shoulder replacements and general orthopaedics. Dr. Petruccelli joined  Greater Washington Orthopaedic Group, PA in 2012, with three locations: Rockville, Silver Spring and  GermanTown, Maryland.

Dr. Petruccelli is a Maryland native, who graduated from The Heights School in Potomac, where he played basketball and soccer.

Dr. Petruccelli graduated from the George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science before receiving a certificate in Physiology at the Virginia Commonwealth University. He completed his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados in 2006 before relocating to New York City to complete his Internship and Orthopaedic residency at New York Medical College-St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center/ Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in 2011.

In 2012, Dr. Petruccelli relocated to the west coast to complete his fellowship with the San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship. There he honed and specialized his skills within the field of sports medicine and open shoulder surgery.  Also, during his time there, he worked closely with Major League Baseball’s San Diego Padres. He also assisted the team physician for the San Diego State Aztecs. Given the opportunity to research, he published surgical technique videos for national orthopaedic society meetings that year.

Dr. Petruccelli has received the Top Doctors Washingtonian Magazine Award in 2017, 2018 & 2019. Since 2016, he has been the Section Chief of the Department of Orthopaedics at Adventist Healthcare Shady Grove Medical Center.

Dr. Petruccelli supports the athletic programs as the team physician at Georgetown Preparatory School and supporting his high school alma mater, The Heights School. He also gives valuable educational talks throughout the community.

Dr. Tamai began his professional pursuits at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry. Robert Myles, MD, FAAOS, is a skilled and experienced orthopedic spine surgeon at the Institute of Spinal Disorders, in Hurst, Texas. 

Dr. Myles completed his undergraduate education in 1985 at the University of California, Riverside. He then went on to obtain his medical doctor degree at the University of California, Irvine. Both his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery were completed at Tulane University in New Orleans in 1996. From there, Dr. Myles spent a year at Baylor School of Medicine in Houston, where he completed his spinal surgery Fellowship. Since that time, Dr. Myles has practiced orthopedic spinal surgery in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Deepan Patel, MD, offers the latest cutting-edge techniques in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee at Garden State Pain & Orthopedics. Dr. Patel specializes in cartilage restoration techniques and advanced shoulder reconstructive surgery. He also offers innovative treatment options for common sports-related injuries, including ACL tears, meniscus tears, and labral tears. Dr. Patel serves patients at convenient locations in Edison, Clifton, Paramus, and Jersey City, New Jersey.

Dr. Patel is fellow-trained in minimally invasive procedures, including robot-assisted partial knee replacements, hip arthroscopy, and shoulder resurfacing arthroplasty. While his experience in these surgeries is extensive, Dr. Patel doesn’t rush to surgery without first looking for noninvasive treatments that can address a patient’s mobility and pain.

Born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Dr. Patel graduated magna cum laude with a medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He was also elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. For his orthopedic surgical residency, Dr. Patel worked at the prestigious NYU Langone Medical Center Hospital in New York. He went on to fellowship training at the renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, where he served as the assistant team physician for a number of Los Angeles professional sports teams, including the Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, Sparks, Anaheim Ducks, and teams from Loyola Marymount University.

Dr. Patel has authored and co-authored over 15 articles for orthopedic journals and textbooks. He’s also presented his work on sports injuries at national meetings. Dr. Patel is especially passionate about treating ACL injuries, and the latest advancements in cartilage restoration techniques. He remains dedicated to learning the newest procedures and cutting-edge technologies, including robot-assisted surgeries, that weren’t available just a decade ago.
