Zachary Haas, DPM, is a third-generation podiatry specialist at Albuquerque Associated Podiatrists in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Fellowship training in orthopaedic sports medicine and arthroscopy at Baylor Medical Center in Houston, Texas, allowed Dr. Starch to further refine his skills and knowledge. He is proud to be board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and holds an additional subspecialty certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Starch is also a proud member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Texas Orthopaedic Association, in addition to the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
Dr. Starch has a special interest in sports medicine, and his fellowship training focused on helping elite athletes recover from injuries and enhance their performance. He is proud to have worked as a team physician for the Houston Astros, Houston Texans, Houston Rockets, and Houston Comets.
He is the head team physician for Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, and Director of Sports Medicine for 10 area high school athletic programs.
Dr. Starch enjoys working with everyone from fitness enthusiasts to patients recovering from a traumatic injury or surgical procedure. He likes the opportunity to perform orthopaedic care across the full spectrum of needs and finds his work deeply fulfilling.
Remaining on the cutting edge of orthopaedic medicine is a priority for Dr. Starch. He routinely seeks out opportunities to learn more about the latest tools and techniques and brings that training back to the practice to enhance patient outcomes.
