Podiatrist Aamir Mahmood, DPM, created Momentum Foot & Ankle Clinic to get to know people on a personal level and provide them with the space they need to receive the best podiatric care. Dr. Chimenti was born in Houston, Texas. Rabah Qadir, MD, is also known as The Bone Fixer™. As a board certified, orthopedic trauma fellowship trained surgeon, Dr. Qadir specializes in managing the full spectrum of musculoskeletal injuries. From simple fractures and sports injuries to severely injured polytrauma patients, Dr. Qadir prioritizes the injured patient. Neil Mulchandani, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine and the founder of City Orthopedics in Flushing and Chinatown, New York City. 

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. From there, he returned to his hometown of New York and attended State University of New York Downstate School of Medicine. During this time, his passion for orthopedics began as he worked diligently with the orthopedic department in significant research endeavors. Dr. Mulchandani went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Downstate, where he served as chief resident during his final year. Dr. Daniels was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois. He began his professional pursuits at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, earning his Bachelor of Science. After graduation, Dr. Daniels enrolled at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois, obtaining his medical degree.

Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Chiu served as an Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, where he was recruited to help reduce amputation rates by focusing on diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Chiu is also one of the very few podiatrists in New Mexico offering orthoplastic reconstruction for complex bone and soft tissue problems in the lower extremity. He specializes in complex diabetic foot and ankle reconstruction, including use of external fixation techniques and flap surgery such as fasciocutaneous and muscle flaps for large soft tissue defects. His expertise in this highly specialized field allows him to offer advanced reconstructive options for patients with severe diabetic foot complications, trauma, and infection, providing them with alternatives to major amputations.

Since moving from UNM, he has been actively involved in the training of the NMVA podiatry residents, ensuring that the next generation of podiatrists is equipped with the latest knowledge and skills in foot and ankle surgery.

Personal Interests

Dr. Chiu is married and has three daughters who are passionate about dance. They participate in ballet, hip-hop, jazz, team dance, and recently started ice skating lessons. His three dogs Marv, Harry and Kevin were named after characters from his wife's favorite movie, Home Alone.

Although he grew up in San Francisco, Dr. Chiu never had much interest in watching professional sports. However, after spending four years in Philadelphia and marrying a woman from Pottstown, PA, he became a dedicated Eagles fan. Go birds!

Kenneth Alleyne, MD, FAAOS, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in sports medicine at Eastern Orthopedics and Sports Medicine with offices in Bloomfield, South Windsor, and Tolland, Connecticut, and Midtown East, New York City.

Dr. Alleyne is a native of Hartford, Connecticut, and of Caribbean parentage (Barbados and Jamaica). He graduated from the Kingswood-Oxford School before attending Williams College, where he was a three-sport athlete and carried out his pre-medical studies. He subsequently enrolled in the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where he was involved as president of the Student National Medical Association, founded the Winston Salem Mentor Network, and carried out primary research. 

During his time in medical school, he accepted a research fellowship at Harvard/MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, where he worked to advance novel research in bone healing under the leadership of Dr. Cato Laurencin. He subsequently completed orthopedic surgical training at Howard University Hospital and a fellowship in Knee and Shoulder Surgery and Sports Medicine at Yale University, where he was an associate team physician for the school's football team and local high school athletics. 

Dr. Alleyne enjoys working with school-age children to active seniors and currently serves as a sports medicine consultant to many local athletes and teams. He has also served as venue physician for the US Open Tennis Tournament. Dr. Alleyne believes that healthy and active lifestyles are the key to successful living. He “partners” with his patients to help them achieve their goals of improved function and return to activity, whether it be walking around the grocery store or international athletic competition. 

When injuries do occur, Dr. Alleyne offers innovative treatments like platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections and stem cell therapy to help heal his patients and get them back to their regular activities. Orthopedics and regenerative medicine are his passions. 

Committed to the betterment of his community Dr. Alleyne has served on the board of Community Health Services, the Governor’s Commission on Health Equity, and currently is vice chairman of the board of Connecticut Health Foundation. He is a member of the board of the University of Connecticut Health Center and founder of SATO, Student Achievement Through Opportunity, which seeks to address the “opportunity gap” for Hartford students through targeted grants and services. Dr. Alleyne is also a member of the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation and serves as a clinical associate professor of Orthopedics at the University of Connecticut and an attending physician at many hospitals in Connecticut and New York City. 

He is married to Shaun Biggers, MD, an obstetrician/gynecologist with whom he shares the joy of their two children. He is an avid jazz enthusiast, cyclist, skier, and the number one fan of his children’s sports and performances.

Eduardo Gonzalez-Hernandez, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon serving patients at his practice, Eduardo Gonzalez-Hernandez, MD PLLC, in Miami, Florida.

An expert in the field of upper extremity surgery, Dr. Gonzalez-Hernandez has been providing world-class care for complex and difficult to manage injuries and the wide array of chronic conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome. 

His kindness and approachability are matched by his knowledge of the leading, surgical, and nonsurgical treatment options for patients. He received his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in Texas. He was awarded membership into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Thereafter, he completed an orthopaedic residency program at Case Western Reserve University and participated in multiple orthopaedic and hand surgery fellowships in the United States and around the world. He performed additional training at the Cleveland Clinic.

He completed several fellowships, including the Müller Foundation Fellowship and an Association for Osteosynthesis/Association for the Study of Internal Fixation (AO/ASIF) in Bern, Switzerland; a hand surgery fellowship in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain; a reconstructive microsurgical fellowship in Taipei, Taiwan; the Cleveland Combined Hand Surgery Fellowship, and the Allen Memorial Orthopaedic Research Fellowship at Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Gonzalez-Hernandez has presided over numerous organizations and societies and is an active member of the American Association for Hand Surgery. He has participated, chaired, and organized several instructional courses both in the United States and abroad and frequently hosts students and physicians to help further upper extremity academia. He currently leads numerous instructional courses throughout the year and around the world on the identification of complex fractures and the surgical interventions necessary.

Riane Teagarden, DPM, is a passionate foot and ankle surgeon based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She provides comprehensive podiatry care at Albuquerque Associated Podiatrists.  

Dr. Teagarden has always been interested in science. Growing up in the Denver area, you could find her explaining food chains with dioramas of lynx and making play-dough models of hearts. When her younger sister was born with significant medical needs, she started helping out her nurses at home. You could see that passion shift towards medicine. 

When she was in second grade, she brought in a baby doll and demonstrated tube feeding and placement of a g-tube to her class. She saw how medical care helped change her sister’s life by improving her independence and relieving her of pain. She was inspired to provide that same care for others.

Dr. Teagarden attended the University of Northern Colorado and graduated summa cum laude. At the time, she was shadowing many different providers from all specialties and working in an immunology research lab when she discovered podiatry - almost by accident. She, like many, got an ingrown toenail. Afterward, she started shadowing the podiatrists that helped her out in Greeley. Almost instantly, she fell in love with the hands-on approach they had to offer to improve the lives of their patients.

Dr. Teagarden moved to Iowa to attend Des Moines University of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Following that, she began her residency at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Albuquerque and completed her residency at Kaiser Northern California in Sacramento. 

Since then, Dr. Teagarden has developed a love of sports medicine, trauma, limb salvage, and wound care. She has experience with the full scope of foot and ankle intervention. She has a tremendous passion for medicine and demonstrates it for her patients by providing the utmost care. She is excited to return to the Southwest and serve the community of Santa Fe.

In her time away from work, Dr. Teagarden enjoys outdoor activities with her dogs and her partner. You can find them hiking, camping, skiing and adventuring. They are looking forward to enjoying the natural beauty of Northern New Mexico.
