“Dr. Soin is a very pleasant and professional gentleman. From from the first time I met him. I felt confident that he knew what he was doing and he Would be able to relieve me from my pain. The procedure was very simple. Very quick. And I even tried to put a little bit of gravity into the situation. Every time he stuck me and I could feel it my comment was .Dam Bees. Because that’s all it felt like. And it did not continue to throb after the injections were done, like a real Bee sting does. I have got much more relief than I expected. I got a nerve block in my super scapular area. And that has helped immensely. Every now and then I will get a little twinge. My back has got some pain in it at various times and my right leg, which was bothering me the most has gone from a pain level of maybe an eight or nine. Down to maybe a two or three. Sometimes going up to a four or five. However, I blame this on myself. I was told to rest, relax and take it easy. I did not. I had so many things that I hadn’t gotten done and I needed to do that. I just dove in. However, I did remember to use good body mechanics, and I followed my restrictions to the best of my ability. My advice to anybody who is considering getting this. Is please do. I feel like a new person. I feel like I have my life back. I would also advise that you do follow the directions and take it easy. Let me be an example of what not to do. And I hope that I can work with Dr. Soin that if my pain level is more than I would choose it to be. We can discuss further treatments in the future.”

About Dr. Seth Kaufman

South Florida Interventional Orthopedics and Spine has one office in Davenport, Florida, and another in Miami. Led by double board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician Seth Kaufman, DO, he and his team focus on using conservative treatments to help their patients avoid surgery unless it’s absolutely necessary. The practice provides the local communities with accurate diagnosis and high-quality treatment.

Dr. Kaufman believes that a physiatrist (a doctor who specializes in medical solutions to musculoskeletal disorders) is the best person for patients to see before consulting an orthopedic surgeon. As he says, when patients have chest pain, they don’t go to a cardiothoracic surgeon but a cardiologist.

Similarly, a patient with a headache would visit a neurologist rather than a neurosurgeon, while a person with stomach pain would go to a gastroenterologist before calling on a colorectal surgeon. Using this logic, it makes sense for patients to first see Dr. Kaufman for their neck, back, or sports injury pain before seeing an orthopedic surgeon.

Patients can be confident of the highest quality treatment. Dr. Kaufman has extensive experience and has undergone fellowship training.

He has also worked extensively with some of the most highly trained spine surgeons in the world. Those surgeons included staff members at the Mayo Clinic (which has campuses in Rochester, Minnesota; Jacksonville, Florida; and Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona), Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

South Florida Interventional Orthopedics and Spine specializes in the nonoperative treatment of neck, lower back, and musculoskeletal pain. They use nonsurgical techniques to treat arthritis, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, sciatica, as well as neck, back, shoulder, hip, and knee pain.

Treatments include epidural steroid injections, facet blocks, hyaluronic acid injections, rhizotomy (radiofrequency ablation), and precision medicine treatments like PRP (platelet-rich plasma). On the rare occasions that these treatments don’t work, Dr. Kaufman refers patients to the appropriate specialists.

South Florida Interventional Orthopedics and Spine is firmly committed to a patient-centered, conservative approach to treating musculoskeletal disorders. Call their Davenport or Miami office today or book an appointment online to benefit from their expertise.

Clement Yeh, MD, is a double board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management physician at Republic Spine and Pain, with offices in Austin and Georgetown, Texas. Dr. Yeh offers patients a multidisciplinary-guided approach to treating pain. He is an active member of the Travis County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, and the Texas Pain Society.

Dr. Yeh earned his bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, on a presidential and premedical scholarship. He went on to complete his medical degree at Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock. During this time, he completed his clinical clerkships, where he mentored premedical students at the University of Texas at El Paso regarding their career choices.

Dr. Yeh furthered his medical education at Parkland Memorial Hospital and UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he completed a residency in anesthesiology. While a resident, he published research in cardiovascular anesthesia and presented research posters at national anesthesiology meetings.

While he thrived in the fast-paced and intellectually stimulating environment that anesthesiology provided, Dr. Yeh’s desire for a more traditional patient-physician relationship spurred him to pursue additional training in the field of pain medicine. He chose to remain at UT Southwestern Medical Center to complete a fellowship in interventional pain management where he was trained in the latest techniques for both acute and chronic pain conditions. While there, Dr. Yeh presented cutting-edge research findings at national pain society meetings.

When not seeing patients, Texas-native Dr. Yeh enjoys playing soccer at Zilker Park, or wakeboarding and snowboarding when the seasons permit.

Dr. Yeh loves spending his time exploring Austin with his wife Krista and children Easton and Isla.
