A Fremont, Nebraska native, Jose L. Nuño graduated from Fremont Senior High in 2009 and from Midland University in 2013 (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). A native of eastern North Carolina, Dr. Jones grew up in Williamston, NC and received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed a three year Residency in Family Practice at Florida Hospital-Orlando in 1986. He founded Fuquay-Varina Family Practice in Wake County in 1987, and remained with this practice until accepting a faculty assignment at the ECU Brody School of Medicine in 1999. After several years of teaching, he decided to return to private practice and opened Jones Family Medicine. His goals are to establish the continuity of long-term relationships with patients, which he feels is vital to obtaining high-quality health care.
