I have been practicing nursing since 2016 with a career in home health and hospice. I completed my masters at Walden University in 2024. I am so grateful to be serving the community that I grew up in. I strive to provide patient- centered quality care in an active listening therapeutic environment.

Through active listening and thoughtful questioning, I deliver high-quality care. I am especially interested in preventive services, wellness visits, women and men's health, acute illness, and management of chronic diseases. I have over 10 years of medical experience.

Michael Maloy, MD, believes that everyone deserves access to highly skilled medical practitioners in a setting designed for his patients’ comfort. Through his leadership role at Sigma Primary Care, Dr. Maloy provides unparalleled care, personalized to meet the needs of his patients in and around San Antonio, Texas.

Education has always been a central focus for Dr. Maloy. He began his studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning his undergraduate degree in biology. He remained at UT San Antonio to complete his medical degree from the School of Medicine. 

Dr. Maloy completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center-Regional Academic Health Center in Harlingen, Texas, where he then served as an assistant professor of medicine. 

He continues to seek out opportunities to expand his skills and knowledge through ongoing education. 

Dr. Maloy founded Sigma Primary Care in 2016. Over the years, the practice has become an invaluable resource to patients in the Central Texas region. They appreciate how the team takes time to get to know them and their unique set of health needs and goals. 

When not working with patients, Dr. Maloy can be found spending time with his family and enjoying time outdoors hiking in the San Antonio area. He also enjoys weight training as a means of staying healthy and active. 

Amanda attended Western Kentucky University where she received her Associates in Science in 2007 (Magna Cum Laude), followed by her Bachelors in Science in 2008 (Magna Cum Laude). She worked as a Registered Nurse at Vanderbilt Medical Center in their level 1 trauma and burn center as well as Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in their pediatric ICU and Surgical recovery unit. She obtained her Masters in Nursing in 2014 ( Magna Cum Laude) and became a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Her medical focus is in primary care, urgent care as well as occupational health medicine.

Kristen Laurella, ARNP is an autonomous, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience in healthcare. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from South University in Georgia and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Delaware. Ms. Laurella holds advanced training and certifications in anti-aging medicine, IV nutritional therapy, peptides, hormone replacement therapy, medical aesthetics, and joint injections. With a holistic and patient-centered approach, Ms. Laurella conducts thorough health assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Her practice focuses on identifying and addressing root causes, alleviating symptoms, optimizing overall health, and preventing future disease.

Dr. Karen Architect is nationally certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a family nurse practitioner who specializes in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Diabetes, Heart Disease, and Weight Loss. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech University HSC, graduating with honors, Magna Cum Laude. In 2012, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing degree at Texas Tech University HSC and in 2018 completed her studies by earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice at University of the Incarnate Word. She is the owner of Heart Healthy Family Practice, PLLC. where the focus is providing meaningful care and a better quality of life to our patients. Dr. Architect has provided healthcare in the greater San Antonio area for over 22 years; and is dedicated to meeting both immediate and long-term goals by developing a lifestyle plan, targeting the underlying health issues, and always putting patient’s needs first.

Through active listening and thoughtful questioning, I am ready to deliver the high quality and holistic care that everyone deserves. Dr. Michael A. Ahearn is a committed physician specializing in general medicine and the founder of Ahearn & Associates Medical Center, which has served the Kewanee community for over 38 years. He holds Board Certifications in both Family Practice and Emergency Medicine.

Education & Training

Born and raised in Mexico, Dr. Ahearn earned his Physician-Surgeon degree with highest honors from the University of La Salle, Mexico City, in 1982. He completed his family practice residency at St. Luke's and Mercy Hospitals in Davenport, Iowa, in 1987 and furthered his education with a certification in acupuncture from Harvard Medical School in 2010.

Professional Experience

Since opening Ahearn & Associates in 2003, Dr. Ahearn has built a trusted practice while also serving as Medical Director for numerous nursing homes across Illinois. In addition, he continues to work as an emergency room physician at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center. His passion for medicine extends beyond borders, having volunteered his expertise in Guatemala, Kenya, and South Africa, bringing care to underserved communities.

He also served as a principal investigator on numerous medical protocols. In 2013, he led the First Community Walk to Stop Diabetes in the Kewanee area, which became a top fundraiser nationwide.

Personal Life

When he's not at the clinic or on a medical mission, Dr. Ahearn cherishes moments with his wife Rebecca, stepson Austin, Bella, and family, as well as indulging in his love for reading, music, and movies.

Jeremy Logsdon is the lead provider at Alva Health and Wellness and has been in the medical field since 2001. Jeremy is excited to offer Family Medical Services to his hometown of Alva. Since graduating Jeremy has provided excellent medical care for Alva and surrounding areas. Jeremy was nominated for the Citizens Choice Healthcare Professional in 2020. Upon graduation, Jeremy was recognized as The Outstanding Graduating Student, awarded by The University of Oklahoma College of Nursing. This is a very prestigious award and is only awarded to one student in the entire graduating class. Jeremy began his career as a Combat Medic in the OK Army National Guard and quickly advanced his career as a nurse at St. Mary's in Enid working in Medical Surgical Unit, Critical Care Unit, Orthopedics, and the Emergency Department. Jeremy has served in various roles that have helped develop his clinical knowledge over a 22 year career in healthcare. Private practice has been Jeremy's dream for years!

Diego Allende, DO, is the owner and founder of The Allende Centre for Regenerative Medicine & Vitality in Fresno, California. He specializes in intergrated medicine and has a board certification in family medicine and a degree in osteopathic medicine.

Dr. Allende was born in Argentina and moved to the San Francisco area with his family as a child. He and his brothers often worked in the family’s auto-body shop, which he credits for his value of hard work. When he began college at San Jose State University in San Jose, California, he continued to work full time while earning his bachelor’s degree in psychology.

After earning his degree, Dr. Allende moved across the country to attend medical school in New York. After a year, he moved back to California to earn his doctorate in osteopathic medicine from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. He then completed his internship and residency at the San Francisco campus of the University of California. 

When he isn’t teaching his patients how to improve their lifestyles with healthy habits or administering cutting-edge regenerative treatments, Dr. Allende loves to spend his time traveling with his wife, Amira, and visiting friends and family. He adheres to a dedicated regimen of weight training, a nutritious diet, outdoor exercise, and relaxation.

Frank Ditz, MD, is a skilled and experienced family practice physician with a passion for personalized care. Through his work at Family Practice of Suntree and Viera in Melbourne, Florida, Dr. Ditz is honored to play a role in helping those in his care to improve their health and wellness. 

Education has always been an important part of Dr. Ditz’s life. He began his studies at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he attended on an academic scholarship and graduated with honors. He then focused on earning his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. 

Upon graduating and receiving his commission as an officer in the United States Air Force, Dr. Ditz completed his internship and residency in family practice at David Grant USAF Medical Center and the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine. He is proud of his 14 years of service in the United States Air Force. 

While serving, Dr. Ditz was selected to study at the School of Aerospace Medicine in the role of flight surgeon. He was one of only a few physicians certified to go through 9G training required to fly in any type of fighter aircraft. 

Despite receiving numerous attractive offers, including the opportunity to rise to the level of Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. Ditz left the military to pursue his dream of going into private practice. Over more than two decades in practice, Dr. Ditz has developed expertise in many areas of practice. He’s also led seminars and lectures for physicians and other medical professionals across a wide range of fields.
