I have been practicing nursing since 1996. I have experience in ICU settings, emergency room nursing, I’ve worked in surgery; in cardiac intensive care and cardiovascular ICU. In 2008, I completed my family practice MSN degree. My nurse practitioner career began in Dyersburg but quickly migrated to Halls, Tn. I grew up in a Christian military family where respect for others was modelled and expected. Respect for the lives of others and the desire to live a life pleasing to God led me to the healthcare field where I started as a paramedic. I then chose to become a nurse and found employment in several emergency departments in Longview and Tyler. Over eight years of experience in emergency medicine showed me that the majority of situations that bring people to the ER are avoidable through routine healthcare and this led me to an interest in family medicine. It is my desire to assist my clients to maintain a healthy and happy life. It was my job as a paramedic that led me to White Oak which I have now called home for over eight years. During my time as a paramedic I met my husband, Stuart. We continue to live in White Oak with my mother-in-law and our small zoo. Amy Beyer grew up in Fluvanna County and went away to college at Liberty University. Upon completion of her Bachelor of Science in Nursing she came back to Fluvanna and married her husband Stephen Beyer, another lifelong Fluco. After working for several years at UVA Amy decided to continue her education at James Madison University and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing degree and became a Family Nurse Practitioner. Amy Beyer is the owner and founder of Fluvanna Health Clinic. Amy is a board certified autonomous nurse practitioner and has been working as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2014. She has experience working with all ages, providing services in urgent care, post acute rehab, and long term care settings. Her passion is to serve the community she grew up in and make a difference in the lives of her neighbors. Brandon O’Connor, MD, is the medical director and attending physician at O’Connor Medical Urgent Care in Port Jervis, New York. Dr. Kacmar is an independent family physician who is board-certified in both primary care and sports medicine. A former collegiate football athlete and active adult, Dr. Kacmar recognizes the value of preventing and treating sports injuries from the young school age athlete through the aging adult. Thomas Rambacher, DPM, FACFAS, FAPWCA, is a double board-certified surgeon and wound doctor at Foot Ankle Leg Wound Care Orange County in Mission Viejo, California. He is one of the few wound care specialists and podiatrists in the region who specializes in orthoplastics (flap reconstruction), limb salvage, and highly specialized wound care.

Dr. Rambacher received his degree in podiatric medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio, now called the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine (KSUCPM).

His primary podiatry residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation involved many subspecialty rotations like orthopedics, endocrinology, rheumatology, emergency medicine, and podo-pediatrics.

Dr. Carl Williams was born in Gary Indiana and has been practicing medicine in Las Vegas for over thirty years and has made it a priority to make care, understanding, and validation the heart of his practice. He received his Medical Doctorate at the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed residencies and fellowships at Wayne State in Detroit, the University of Illinois, Chicago and Rush Presbyterian. He served an additional residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Illinois School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center. Dr. Williams is a skilled hand surgeon with his own private practice – Carl N. Williams, Jr. M.D. Hand and Plastic Surgery – in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was the first African American Plastic Surgery Resident in Chicago and the first African American Plastic Surgeon in the state of Nevada. He brought the first laser center to Las Vegas and introduced a multitude of lasers and their functionality to this area.

Dr. Carl Williams is triple board certified in plastic surgery, surgery of the hand and otolaryngology. He has served on the board of directors of many different hospitals as both a leader of surgery and advanced wound healing. He was a member of the plastic surgery faculty for two years in Chicago at the University of Illinois and continues to pass on his knowledge today by continuing as a clinical educator for both the UNLV School of Medicine and Touro University.

Dr. Williams holds active memberships in many professional organizations including the AMA, ASPS, ASSH, and ASA. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has volunteered for many medical missions to Mexico, Guatemala, Samoa, Costa Rica, and the Philippines. He also participated in a medical exchange with China and Russia. Dr. Williams participated in a community outreach program that removed gang tattoos to give Las Vegas youth a chance to get out of that lifestyle. He has also contributed, as a reconstructive plastic surgeon, much needed assistance to victims of domestic violence. Dr. Williams also established the hand surgery department at UMC hospital and continues to take hand trauma call for four Las Vegas hospitals today.

These leadership roles have helped him tailor his treatment setting to each patient’s needs and develop specific regimens for each procedure.

Dr. Williams currently serves as an associate professor at the Nevada School of Medicine and the Toro School of Medicine, sharing his treatment philosophy and emphasizing the importance of personalized patient experiences. 

Additionally, Dr. Williams holds three board certifications with the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Plastic Surgery with an emphasis in hand surgery, and the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Monica Ramirez is a Dallas native who has just completed her residency at UT Health San Antonio.  She is excited to be back in Dallas and thrilled to be joining Southwest Family Medicine Associates.
