Welcome to Avicenna Medical Clinic, serving the Reseda, California community. Our Primary Care Physician, Dr. Aref Karbasi, is capable of diagnosing and treating a range of conditions for patients across their lifespan. Dr. Karbasi earned his medical degree from the Azad Medical School at Azad University in Tehran, Iran. He is currently an Adjunct Faculty member and clinical Instructor at Kaiser Permanente residency program in Woodland Hills Medical center.

In addition to extensive medical training in Iran and the U.S., Dr. Karbasi holds many certifications, including Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Program. A Fremont, Nebraska native, Jose L. Nuño graduated from Fremont Senior High in 2009 and from Midland University in 2013 (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). Mr. Nuño started his medical career first as a Nurse before being accepted into the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he earned his Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. Mr. Nuño began his career as a Physician Assistant in Norfolk, Nebraska where he worked in both Vascular surgery and Urgent care. Mr. Nuño was fortunate enough to take over an established medical building owned by Dr. Rodrigo Gomez who has served the Norfolk community for many years and many know as Santa Marianta Clinic PC. Mr. Reza Hatefi, PA-C, is a compassionate and experienced physician’s assistant who is fluent in Spanish and Farsi and has been serving patients in and around Raleigh, North Carolina, since 2000. At Select Family Practice, Mr. Hatefi provides attentive, personalized care, taking time to listen to his patients, helping them to improve their overall health and well-being with expert clinical care and lifestyle-management advice.

Mr. Hatefi earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his physician’s assistant training and bachelor’s degree in health science at Methodist College (now Methodist University) in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Tolulope Olabintan, MD, DipABLM, FAAFP, or “Dr. O“ as she is fondly called by her patients, leads the medical team at Livingspring Family Medical Center, a primary care center located in Mansfield, Texas. She is a Board-Certified Family Physician, a board-certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Forward Care Family Practice provides comprehensive family medical care from their office in Glendale, Arizona. Led by Ellana Davidov, PA-C, the medical team can address a variety of acute health conditions and chronic diseases during in-office consultations or through the online telehealth platform.
