As a nurse practitioner, I strive to provide holistic care, focusing on health maintenance, health promotion, and disease management. I also value quality, consistent care to everyone. I moved to St. Augustine in 2018 after living in Gainesville for many years. My family and I jumped at the opportunity to join this beautiful beach community where we enjoy everything outdoors, including kayaking, biking and camping. Comprehensive Primary Care opened its doors in 2015 as a solo physician owned Family Medicine Practice. Our goal is to provide primary care to our community with a comprehensive approach: instead of addressing only one complaint, we take the time to look at the entire individual.
Dr. Obinna Uzowulu incorporates his experience as a Hospitalist and Emergency Medicine physician in his practice, which allows him to care for a broad variety of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Hanifa Waarith, NP, is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner at Centers for Pain Control and Vein Care in Hobart and LaPorte, Indiana. Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Hanifa brings a wealth of experience in family medicine, pain management, mental health, community health, and urgent care to the practice.
With a Master of Science in Nursing from Lewis University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Purdue University of Calumet, Hanifa has a strong educational foundation. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Chicago State University. Her comprehensive training includes a fellowship program at WellNow Urgent Care, where she specialized in acute care with an emphasis on evidence-based practice.
At WellNow Urgent Care, Hanifa managed the daily care of patients, addressing both adult and pediatric acute illnesses and injuries. Her proficiency extends to performing physical exams, ordering and evaluating lab tests, managing medications, and conducting procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage (I&D), and vaginal exams. She also performed Department of Transportation exams for CDL employee physicals and workers' compensation exams.
Hanifa has extensive experience managing a multitude of chronic illnesses, including cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, diabetes, thyroid, asthma, chronic pain, and behavioral health issues like depression and anxiety. She is skilled in providing comprehensive care and educating patients and families on managing acute and chronic conditions. I have had the pleasure of working in the field of nursing in one aspect or another for over 33 years. I have extensive training in critical care both surgical and medical. I have provided care in large group settings with multiple providers as well as small rural healthcare settings. I enjoy family medicine the most with an emphasis on primary prevent. I believe that if you listen to the people I serve, that I am able to provide competent health care; both short term and long term with fiscal responsibility.
Born and raised in Port Huron, I have three children, one is grown. My philosophy in medicine is to help patients help themselves. I can provide my advice, but it is up to the patient to follow this plan. I prefer preventative medicine and early treatment of disease to prevent problems later. Easy to understand explanations regarding disease and treatment are provided. I aspire to stay on time during the day, however I spend the time needed to address the issues. Some days, this may not be an issue, but other days it may cause some delay. Typically, patients know that if I am running late, it is because I am spending the time needed. They also feel comfortable knowing that I will do the same for them if the time comes.
