Jennifer Ra, DDS, is one of three dentists who provide outstanding patient care at Northwest Dental, which has offices conveniently located in Bellingham, Burlington, Arlington, Everett, and Oak Harbor, Washington. Dr. Ra began her medical education at the University of Washington, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in cell and molecular biology in 2003. She also worked as a research scientist at the University of Washington Medical Center in the Department of Neurology from 2002 to 2005.
Dr. Ra continued her education at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She graduated magna cum laude in 2009. In addition to her degree in dental medicine, Dr. Ra also holds certifications in the Hiossen dental implant system and Invisalign® clear aligners system.
Along with the team of dentists and denturists at Northwest Dental, Dr. Ra provides comprehensive dental services for patients of all ages living in the northwest Washington area.
Melissa Brulotte, LD, began her career in dentistry with Northwest Dental while she was still in high school, working part-time at the practice, which now has offices in Bellingham, Burlington, Arlington, Everett, and Oak Harbor, Washington. After high school, Brulotte left to pursue other interests but returned in 2008.
She decided to pursue a career as a licensed denturist in 2012, graduated from American Denturist College in April 2015, and received her license in May 2015. Brulotte offers patients of all ages in the northwest Washington area personal, compassionate, and comprehensive denture services. As a member of the team of licensed denturists at Northwest Dental, Brulotte personally designs, constructs, and makes custom dentures on-site in the dental lab with the highest quality products.
“If you're female and have never been able to get a good lower denture fit, you simply must see Melissa.
She is most careful (and caring about your "owies") when taking impressions and also making adjustments should you need them (and don't we always need them)?
It's my opinion that she's the best!”
Eric Hansen, LD, was destined to become a professional denturist like his father. He now owns Northwest Dental, with offices in Bellingham, Burlington, Arlington, Everett, and Oak Harbor, Washington. As a young boy, Hansen played with wax in his father’s dental lab and realized his interest in dentures. When he graduated from high school, he worked alongside his father, Ron, in the lab. They both attended Idaho State University and the Oregon Denturist College.
Together, Eric and Ron Hansen earned their degrees in 1988 and became licensed denturists in 1999. The father-son team opened a denture clinic in Deming, Washington, on the Nooksack Indian Reservation. At the time, denturism was not yet recognized as a profession by the state of Washington, so they made that their mission.
Eric Hansen and his father worked with other denturists around the state to successfully pass Initiative 607, which formally recognized and regulated the denturist profession. Eric was a board member for the state of Washington denturists and helped them implement the new denturist law. The father-son team went on to open Northwest Dental, complete with denture laboratories and full-time dentists on their staff in both Bellingham and Burlington, Washington.
After his father’s passing in 2010, Hansen became the sole owner and a denturist at all five Northwest Dental locations. Hansen and his staff of three skilled dentists, five denturists, and hygienists provide exceptional dental and denture services, including implants and family dentistry, to patients of all ages in northwest Washington.
