Sanna Ronkainen, M.D, F.A.A.D. is a board-certified dermatologist. Dr. Ronkainen is a Northern Virginia native, born and raised in Fairfax County. She graduated from St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School in Alexandria, and earned her B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Upon graduation from Rice, she was awarded a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship--a grant to pursue research through travel in a topic of personal interest--studying type 1 diabetes. During her fellowship she traveled to Argentina, Tonga, India, Hong Kong, South Africa, and Tanzania. She returned to Washington, DC for medical school at Georgetown University, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society as recognition of her academic excellence.
Dr. Ronkainen then completed a five-year combined residency in Dermatology and Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota, where she participated in the global health track and served as Chief Resident during her final year. During her residency she was awarded the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award and was inducted in the Gold Humanism Medical Honor Society for her enthusiasm for teaching medical students.
Prior to joining District Dermatology, Dr. Ronkainen served as an assistant professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine and worked at the Medstar Washington Hospital Center Department of Dermatology. Dr. Ronkainen is delighted to serve her home community. She enjoys caring for patients with a wide variety of skin concerns and is committed to developing tailored treatment plans for each of her patients. Dr. Melanie Tawfik is a board certified dermatologist. She is a native of North Carolina and completed her undergraduate studies and medical school education at Duke University. She completed her internship and dermatology residency at Loma Linda University in Southern California, where she also served as Chief Resident in her final year.

Dr. Monique Chheda is a board certified dermatologist. She is a native of Chicago. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, where she graduated with honors. She went on to complete her medical school education at the University of Illinois - Chicago Medical School, where she graduated at the top of her class, being accepted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Chicago, where she also served as Chief Resident in her final year.
She has been in both academic and private practice since completing her training, practicing in Maryland and New Jersey prior to joining District Dermatology. Born and raised in northern New Jersey, Dr. Bembry's journey in medicine began with a strong academic foundation. Stephen Suah, MD, MS, is a board-certified dermatologist serving the community of Washington, DC, at Foxhall Dermatology.
Dr. Suah received his undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Florida. He also received his Master’s in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Georgetown University, graduating summa cum laude.
During residency, Dr. Suah focused on patient-centered care, medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and skin of color while training at Howard University in Washington, DC, VA Medical Center, Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Children’s National Hospitals. Dr. Suah continues to serve in a mentorship role at the Howard University Dermatology Residency Program.

Juan-Carlos (J.C.) Caballero, MD, FAAD is board certified in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. He leads the team at Warrenton Dermatology & Skin Therapy Center in Warrenton, Virginia.

Danielle King, PA-C is a Certified Physician Assistant at Warrenton Dermatology & Skin Therapy Center, specializing in medical and surgical dermatology. She is honored to serve patients within the Warrenton community and surrounding areas.
Danielle earned her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Maryland (Baltimore) and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Prior to her Physician Assistant studies, Danielle obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology while playing Division I field hockey at Davidson College in North Carolina.
Danielle gained years of clinical experience in dermatology as a Mohs Surgical Technician, where she assisted Mohs surgeons in removing skin cancers and performing aesthetically pleasing repairs. She underwent an intensive medical dermatology clinical rotation during Physician Assistant training, and has also trained extensively in specialized medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology under Dr. Caballero and in Mohs surgery under Dr. Dolan.

Dr. Omolara Olowoyeye, MD, MPH, is a Board-Certified Dermatologist at Radiance Dermatology, a premier cosmetic, medical, and surgical dermatology practice in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Olowoyeye earned her bachelor’s degree in Genetics, Cell, and Developmental biology from the Ivy League Dartmouth College and later went on to earn a Master’s in Public Health degree.
She earned her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Department of Dermatology. She has authored multiple medical publications and has worked on various research projects in ethnic skin dermatology, keloids, skin aging, laser treatments, skin regeneration, and wound healing. Dr. Olowoyeye has called Washington, DC, and Maryland home for many years, from her years of medical training through clinical practice. Alina Gerasymova is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in Dermatology. She graduated summa cum laude with a master’s degree in biology from Donetsk State University in Ukraine. Earlier in her professional life, she had careers in science education and advertising before moving to the United States in 2008.
Alina earned her Physician Assistant certificate from Anne Arundel Community College and a Master of Health Science from the University of Maryland in 2017. Since November 2017, Alina has been dedicated to dermatology, performing full-body skin examinations, surgical procedures, and cosmetic treatments. She evaluates and manages a wide range of dermatologic conditions and has a particular interest in acne, rosacea, and hair loss. She is also a strong proponent of proactive screening and early detection of skin cancers.
Alina is passionate about promoting healthy skin and believes that patient education and engagement are key to achieving better outcomes and improving adherence to treatment plans. Josef Yeager, MD, FAAD, is an experienced board-certified dermatologist serving patients at Shady Grove Dermatology in Rockville, Maryland. Dr. Yeager has been practicing in Maryland since 1990.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed his internship at Spartanburg Regional Hospital in South Carolina.
Dr. Yeager served in the United States Navy, where he trained as an aviation medical officer. Later, he completed his residency in dermatology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and became a member of the teaching staff there.
Besides treating patients, he contributed to resident education and published over 50 articles on research studies and case reports. He was the principal investigator on two research projects that the National Institutes of Health sponsored; he taught as an associate professor of dermatology at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, and he was an assistant professor of clinical dermatology at Georgetown University.
Dr. Yeager also enjoyed serving as a dermatology consultant to the United States Congress. In addition, he was a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and a member of the International Society of Dermatology, the Washington D.C. Dermatological Society, and the American Medical Association. He was named one of the “Top Doctors” in the Washingtonian Magazine.
