Dr. Rachael Delahoussaye-Shields is a native of New Orleans. She is a graduate of St. Dominic School in Lakeview and St. Scholastica Academy in Covington. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama where she was also an NCAA Scholastic All-American gymnast. She graduated from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, and also completed her residency in dermatology at LSU. After her residency, she practiced dermatology in Wisconsin. Dr. Delahoussaye-Shields is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) and is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS).
Dr. Delahoussaye-Shields passions include health, fitness, and of course skincare. She is married and has five children, two girls, and three boys. She is an exceptional baker. Her cakes and creations are truly a work of art!
Sophie is a licensed medical aesthetician who is passionate about making her clients feel confident in their own skin. She began her aesthetics journey here in New Orleans at Aveda Institute of Arts and Sciences then went on to be certified as a Laser Technician at the National Laser Institute in Dallas, Texas. Sophie has trained under Dr. Elizabeth Grieshaber and Dr. Delahoussaye-Shields since the completion of her aesthetician certification. Sophie specializes in a wide range of services including facials, chemical peels, face and body laser treatments, laser hair removal, dermaplaning, microneedling, and acne treatments to name a few. Her repertoire also includes extensive knowledge of multiple lines of skincare brands where she curates personal skincare routines for patients’ unique needs and concerns.
When she is not working, she enjoys CrossFit, yoga, traveling, and spending time with her dog, Tallulah.
Dr. Elizabeth Grieshaber is a native of the New Orleans area and is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Her overall mission is to treat the whole person, helping them look good and feel good from the inside out. She attended Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed her residency at LSU. She practiced dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic prior to the establishment of Sanctuary Dermatology. She is an associate faculty member at LSU and enjoys teaching the residents on the days she is not at the clinic.
Dr. Grieshaber is a master GAIN (Galderma Aesthetic Injector Network) trainer and injector specializing in the training of physicians on how to administer injectables including Dysport, Restylane portfolio of dermal fillers, and Sculptra Aesthetic. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Board of Dermatology (ABD), the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), and the American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS).
When Dr. Grieshaber is not helping her patients, she enjoys spending time with her family. She is a mom to four beautiful children, one boy, and three girls. Dr. Grieshaber feels that physical fitness is important to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She practices yoga and Pilates on a regular basis.
