Dermatologist Michael A. Dorman, MD, has been a partner with Ronald D. Kerwin, MD, at Associated Dermatologists since 1993. Leonard Y. Kerwin, MD, is a board-certified Dermatologist at Associated Dermatologists. Dr. Kerwin is available for appointments at the Keystone Medical Center in Novi, the Atrium Medical Center in West Bloomfield, and the Northpointe Medical Plaza in Berkley, Michigan.
Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Kerwin completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan and medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit. Following medical school, he worked on malignant melanoma research at the Laboratory of Molecular Dermatology in the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute and then went on to complete his internship at Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital (formerly Ascension Crittenton Hospital) in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Dr. Kerwin completed his dermatology residency at Wayne State University before completing his fellowship in procedural dermatology and Mohs Surgery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Kerwin has undergone special training and certification for MOHS surgery. He has passed all the required tests and training set by the American Board of Dermatology for this type of surgery.
Dr. Kerwin’s interests in dermatology include skin cancer treatment, scar revision and earlobe repair, hyperhidrosis, cosmetic dermatology, skin rejuvenation (including Botox® and Dysport®), fillers (including Juvederm® and Restylane®), and cosmeceuticals.
In addition to continuing to serve patients at Associated Dermatologists, Dr. Kerwin teaches at the John D. Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center, affiliated with the Wayne State University Department of Dermatology.
