He grew up in Ohio and went to medical school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He did an internship year at the University of Pennsylvania and then completed a Clinical Research Fellowship in Dermatology and Dermatology Residency at UCLA. Dr. Matt is a Fellow of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Outside of the office, Dr. Bingham enjoys spending time with his large family. He also loves being active outdoors, especially running, road and mountain biking, pickleball, hiking, backpacking, skiing, and stand-up paddle surfing. Dr. Bingham lived in South America for several years and is fluent in Spanish.

Having graduated from UCLA School of Medicine in 1993 with Magna Cum Laude, Dr. Tabibian finished his residency training in dermatology in 1997 where he was trained in general dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and dermatopathology. He is a fellow member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Board of Dermatology, and the American Society of Mohs Surgery (Practicing Mohs surgery since 2000), and a member of the California Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. He currently serves as a clinical instructor of dermatology at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA where he trains internal medicine residents doing electives in Dermatology.
