Dr. Kazeem has served as president of medical staff and chief of endocrinology at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn and on the minority affairs committee of the American Association of Endocrinology. He is a two-time recipient of the quality improvement and health outcomes award granted by the Foundation for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. In addition to his duties at Elk Medical, Dr. Kazeem serves on advisory committees at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center as well as New York–Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn.

Dr. Gulati achieved her Bachelor of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, in a 6-year accelerated BS/MD program, where she distinguished herself by graduating cum laude. Her areas of expertise include infertility, PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), fertility preservation, third-party reproduction, and recurrent pregnancy loss. “I want my patients to feel welcomed and most importantly, heard,” she explains. “They each have a unique story and a different journey than anyone else. It’s all about them and no one else.”
Dr. Gulati is affiliated with St. Barnabas Medical Center, Morristown Memorial Hospital, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She shares her expertise and experience as a lecturer to staff, fellows, residents, and medical students at these institutions. Dr. Gulati is helping to train the next generation of Obstetricians and Gynecologists via objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) for the OB/GYN clerkship clinical and pelvic model training.
Dr. Gulati resides in Bergen County with her husband, where she enjoys gardening, hiking, golf, tennis, and running half-marathons. Adam Fechner, MD, is a double board-certified OB/GYN practicing at University Reproductive Associates in Hasbrouck Heights, Wayne, and Millburn, New Jersey, and Goshen, New York. He specializes in endometriosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, uterine fibroids, in vitro fertilization, polycystic ovary syndrome, and minimally invasive reproductive surgery.

Kavitha Persaud, MD, is a double board-certified physician who works at the University Reproductive Associates offices in Wayne, New Jersey, and Goshen, New York, covers Doc of the Day at Hasbrouck Heights, and provides care there as needed.
A New Jersey native, Dr. Persaud received her Bachelor of Science from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, before completing her medical degree at the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. She then completed her REI fellowship at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, following in the footsteps of University Reproductive Associates physicians Peter McGovern, MD, Susan Wolf, MD, Adam Fechner, MD, and Sara Morelli, MD, PhD. It was during Dr. Persaud’s fellowship that she learned about University Reproductive Associates and knew that was where she hoped to practice.
Dr. Persaud’s three-year REI fellowship consisted of 18 months of research followed by another 18 months of clinical experience, predominantly at University Reproductive Associates, where she worked one-on-one with all of the physicians in the group practice to learn about reproductive endocrinology and infertility, assisting with surgeries and observing how they interact with patients.
Dr. Persaud knew she wanted to specialize in obstetrics as she loved the prospect of bringing life into the world. She was drawn to the subspecialty of infertility because it was a way of helping couples become families through the ever-changing technological and medical treatments and procedures.

Anastasios Manessis, MD, FACE, ECNU, ABOM, is a double-board certified physician at Endocrine Associates of West Village PC in Murray Hill, Manhattan, and Long Island City, New York, specializing in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism and obesity medicine. Dr. Manessis has an endocrine certification in neck ultrasounds and has extensive experience in diagnosing, treating, and managing endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, hormonal dysfunction, and obesity.
Dr. Manessis pursued his undergraduate education at Manhattan College, graduating magna cum laude with distinction in biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Manessis was a faculty member in the Department of Medicine at New York Medical College from 2008-2010. He then joined the faculty of New York University in 2011. He has been involved in many clinical research projects, including long-term studies to evaluate the efficacy and safety of GLP-I agonists and weight loss agents. Dr. Manessis’ primary clinical interest includes the treatment of diabetic patients with insulin pumps and how it has benefited the well-being of patients long-term.
