Dr. Resnick was born and raised in New York. He graduated from Queens College and then went to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While attending Tufts, he also went to Harvard Extension School, where he received a graduate certificate in business. He then attended New York University, where he received a postgraduate degree in endodontics. He started practicing dentistry in 1988.
Shortly after graduating, Dr. Resnick began teaching at Mount Sinai Hospital. In 1991, he became Chief of Endodontics at the hospital, a position he held for 23 years. Dr. Thomas Zicarelli joined him in 1991. They are now joined by Dr. Jennifer Donelson, Dr. Randolph Todd, and Dr. Christina Boyd. They recently moved to their new location. They pride themselves on using the most sophisticated techniques, equipment, and materials and they constantly strive towards excellence.
Dr. Resnick has a wife and three daughters. He enjoys cycling, running, swimming, yoga, and, of course, spending time with his family.
Lauren Tiffen, DDS, is an endodontist at NYCEndodontics in the Lenox Hill area of Manhattan. She is proud to provide the very best in oral health care to patients in New York City.
Dr. Tiffen grew up on Long Island, New York, and attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery and an advanced certificate in public health from New York University. Dr. Tiffen was very involved in global outreaches and was selected to serve as her class commencement speaker at Madison Square Garden.
She then completed a general practice residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, affiliated with Yale University, where Dr. Tiffen received comprehensive training in hospital-based dentistry. Finally, she went on to pursue her true passion and completed an endodontics residency program at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Tiffen has a commitment to making her patients feel at ease while providing the highest quality of care. In her free time, she enjoys seeing live music, eating delicious food, and traveling the world.
Thomas J. Zicarelli, DDS, is an endodontist at NYCEndodontics in the Lenox Hill area of Manhattan. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to his patients in New York City.
Dr. Zicarelli is a graduate of Villanova University in Pennsylvania and the New York University College of Dentistry, where he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery and specialty certificate in endodontics. Dr. Zicarelli served as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Postgraduate Endodontics from 1989-1999. It was during his specialty training when he met Dr. Scott Resnick, and together, they founded NYCEndodontics in 1991. Over the years, they have expanded the practice to include several associates.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontics, the New York Dental Forum, and the First District Dental Society of New York, to mention a few.
Dr. Zicarelli is married and has two children. He enjoys hiking, skiing, mountain and road cycling, ice climbing, gardening, and model railroading.
George Ilenikhena, DDS, is an endodontist at NYCEndodontics in the Lenox Hill area of Manhattan. He is committed to providing quality and compassionate care to patients in New York City.
Originally born in Lagos, Nigeria, Dr. Ilenikhena moved to Chicago, IL, in his early years. He graduated from the University of Illinois (Chicago), earning a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina, where he graduated with distinction and was honored with awards for his efforts in leadership, teaching, scientific research, and community service. During his time in dental school, he spearheaded initiatives aimed at alleviating barriers preventing access to care and participated in various outreach programs in the United States.
Dr. Ilenikhena completed his post-graduate residency in endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. While there, he perfected his skills in the full scope of endodontic procedures and taught endodontic microsurgery to doctors from all over the world. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists and attends scientific conferences to stay informed of current research, developments and techniques in the field of endodontics.
Dr. Ilenikhena believes in providing pain-free endodontic care in a relaxed and comfortable environment where every decision is made with the best interest of the patient at heart. In his free time, he enjoys attending concerts, cooking, exercising, traveling, horticulture, and spending time with friends and family.
Peter Babick, DDS, is a board-certified endodontist at NYCEndodontics in the Lenox Hill area of Manhattan in New York City. He is excited to provide you with the best possible endodontic care anywhere.
Dr. Babick received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from NYU College of Dentistry in 1991 and afterward trained as a General Practice Resident at Monmouth Medical Center(certificate,1992).
He received an Endodontic Certificate from NYU College of Dentistry in 1996, where he volunteered as a clinical instructor and lecturer for 15 years, eventually obtaining the prestigious title of Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery.
Dr. Babick is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and an Active Member of the American Association of Endodontists, where he was a former Chair of both the Membership Services Committee and the Public and Professional Relations Committee, as well as a member of the AAE's Committee on Quality Improvement. He is a long-time board member and former President of Professional Offices, Inc., a Medical-Dental Co-op in NYC.
Dr. Babick has published research on pain control in endodontics, specifically on techniques to prevent pain during and after root canal treatment.
