Dr. Panos cares for head injuries, associated neck injuries and practices sports medicine at his clinic, Head Spine Sport. He has been a regional expert in concussion care for nearly 2 decades, seeing patients from throughout the Northwest. He is a team physician and concussion program director for local schools, teams and athletic programs. He lectures nationally on concussion and has been a team physician with the US Ski Team since 2006. He is a Credentialed ImPACT Consultant and recently completed an interventional spine fellowship in Denver. Kootenai Clinic is a network of doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who are employed by Kootenai Health and provide care to patients throughout the Inland Northwest.
Anna Mena-Schaures is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. After graduating from Sandpoint High School she received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Montana State University. Looking for adventure she joined the Air Force for 6 years and provided care for active duty members and their families. She has experience in multiple settings including pediatrics, neonatal ICU, medical surgical and OBGYN clinic. She graduated from Gonzaga University with her Masters of Science degree. In her spare time she enjoys life out on the farm, hiking, swimming and traveling with her husband and daughter.
Nichole is a board certified family nurse practitioner and enjoys providing primary care for patients across the lifespan. She believes that empowering her patients to be active participants in their health through education and a strong patient-provider relationship can lead to patients achieving their health goals. She views her role as providing support for the patient while focusing on disease prevention, health promotion and practicing evidence-based medicine. Nichole emphasizes lifestyle modifications to enhance her patients’ overall quality of life and believes that optimal health is often achieved with a holistic approach utilizing conventional and integrative medicine. She is passionate about her community and working with underserved populations and is the medical director of the local free health care clinic and volunteers with other non-profits globally to foster wellness. Nichole particularly enjoys pediatrics, adolescent health and women’s health.
From a young age Dr. Bonine knew his future would be medicine. Graduating from HS and enlisting in the Navy as a corpsman enabled him to finish his degree and ultimately head to medical school. He completed a rural residency program and then he re-enlisted in the US Air Force. He loves the opportunity to listen to patients, establish relationships and serve our community.
