Dr. Laura Markwick has been a registered nurse since 1985. and a family nurse practitioner since 2006. In 2010, she earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from St. John Fisher College. She specializes in Family Medicine and is Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She was inducted as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in June 2017. As an advocate for the profession, she is a member of many professional organizations, including the Genesee Valley Nurses Association, The NPA of NY, serving as President of Region 2, AANP, the American Nurses Association, ANA- NY, Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, and the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty. She currently serves as the AANP State Representative for NY-North. She also was in the first cohort to complete the Future Leaders Training Program sponsored by the AANP.
