Upon graduation, she worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Medical City Children's Hospital. Tara earned her Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington where she was an MSN Academic Scholar. Tara is completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Duke University in 2017 graduating at the top of her class. She lives near White Rock Lake with her family.
