I earned my MD at the La Salle University in Mexico City and completed my residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Hyperbaric Medicine at the University of Texas-Houston. I have been active in academic medicine at both UT Houston and Baylor College of Medicine and have participated in several research projects including imaging of the lymphatic systems with near- infrared technology. I belief in individualized, patient-centered medicine, based on diagnostics and customized therapeutics considering each patients' particular circumstances.

Shirmeen Lakhani, DPM, is a board-certified podiatrist at Jacinto Medical Group in Baytown, Texas. She has been practicing podiatry in Texas for more than 10 years.
Growing up in Texas for much of her life, Dr. Lakhani’s interest in podiatry and foot surgery began when she was still an undergraduate at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, where she studied chemistry. Immediately after graduation, Dr. Lakhani began her medical studies at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, where she earned her doctorate in podiatric medicine in 2008.
Dr. Lakhani moved back to Texas to complete her podiatric surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Center. Soon after her residency ended in 2011, Dr. Lakhani joined Gonzaba Medical Group in Houston, where she treated patients for two years before relocating to Baytown in 2013 to work at Jacinto Medical Group.
