He completed medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by residency in Internal Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and fellowship in Nephrology at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.
His realm of expertise encompasses all aspects of nephrology - from hypertension, along with the broad spectrum of renal diseases, all the way to end-stage renal disease and dialysis. Motivated by his knowledge, technical skills, and advanced resources available at Consultants in Kidney Diseases, Dr. Aras provides life-changing and life-saving solutions to every patient he serves.
Dr. Aras splits his time between seeing patients in the clinic, in a variety of dialysis centers throughout central New Jersey, and caring for critically ill patients in the ICU and local hospitals. Dr. Aras values health above everything else — which is what drove him to become a physician. Every day, he has an incredibly rewarding opportunity to give his patients a better quality of life.
When he’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Aras enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, watching sports and playing tennis.
Dr. Hafiz Iqbal is double board-certified in Nephrology & Hypertension and Internal Medicine, and serves patients at Consultants in Kidney Diseases in Hamilton, NJ.
He completed medical school at Allama Iqbal Medical College followed by residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Nephrology at West Virginia University School of Medicine.
He is passionate about taking care of all aspects related to the field of nephrology, including but not limited to diabetic nephropathy, hypertension, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, glomerular disorders, kidney stones, cystic kidney diseases, electrolyte abnormalities, end-stage-renal disease including managing both hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis and management of kidney transplant patients.
His practice is patient-focused, and he believes very strongly that each patient has unique needs and goals and that it is important for him, as their physician, to recognize this and provide personalized care to the best of his ability.
