Shashank Singh, MD, is one of the skilled physicians practicing at Houston Kidney Specialists Center (HKSC), which has four locations – three in Cypress and one in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Singh was born in India and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, from the young age of 1 year. He received his bachelor's degree in biology from Kennesaw State University and received his medical degree from St. George's University in 2014. He later completed his internal medicine residency in Brooklyn, New York. He finished his residency in 2017 and worked at LSU - Shreveport for some time as an internal medicine faculty associate professor. Deciding to specialize, he finished his nephrology fellowship from UT Health San Antonio and transplant nephrology fellowship from Emory University. Dr. Singh demonstrates a strong belief in providing the best care for his patients as he would want for his own family. He strives to provide excellence with kindness to all his patients.
In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors by running and hiking and enjoys working on automobiles. He comes to Houston, Texas, with his wife - a native of Houston and an intensivist. He and his wife are blessed with a daughter.
Through active listening and thoughtful questioning, I aim to deliver high quality care that utilizes the most recent advances in medicine. I am especially interested in men's health issues and LGBT care and offer over 20 years of experience in the study, treatment and prevention of HIV. I earned my MD at the University of Minnesota where I completed my residency and family medicine. Later, I went on to direct the HIV education and training program at St Vincent's hospital in New York.
