Amir Malik, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in cranial, spinal, and peripheral neurology at North Texas Orthopaedic & Spine in Frisco, Texas. Throughout his years of training and the years since, Dr. Malik has held numerous clinical positions and has been an assistant professor in the department of neurosurgery at the University of Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. A native Texan, Dr. Denning graduated with honors from Howard Payne University and attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, graduating first in his class. In medical school, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and was awarded “Most Outstanding Student” in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology, Immunology, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
Dr. Denning is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He completed his internship in General Surgery and residency in Neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. His neurosurgical training included chief resident positions at The Methodist Hospital, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Ben Taub General Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital and the Michael E. DeBakey Veteran’s Affairs Hospital.
