With over three decades as a practicing OB/GYN, Dr. Alvarez-Mott helps women with complex infertility issues and high-risk pregnancy concerns at Woodglen Medical Group in Glendora, California.
Dr. Alvarez-Mott earned his medical degree from the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine. He then completed an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles. Dr. Alvarez-Mott is board certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Not only does Dr. Alvarez-Mott have extensive training in minimally invasive surgical procedures, he’s also experienced in diagnosing and treating complex women’s health issues. Patients turn to him for the care of uterine cancer, cervical polyps, endometriosis, and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), in a wide range of other gynecological conditions. He offers complete prenatal and delivery care, including vaginal birth after Cesarean section (VBAC), if desired.

Dr. Gwen Allen of the Gardena Women’s Center in Gardena, California, specializes in obstetrics and gynecology and has a passion for helping women of all ages receive the best in women’s healthcare — from pregnancy to menopause.
Dr. Allen began her medical training at the University of California, Los Angeles David Geffen School of Medicine. From there she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at King/Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, and has been practicing medicine since 1998.
Together with her experienced medical team at the Gardena Women’s Center, Dr. Allen specializes in high-risk pregnancies and routine OB/GYN services including Pap smears, birth control, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.
Dr. Allen is affiliated with several hospitals in the area, including Centinela Hospital Medical Center, Gardena Hospital, Glendale Memorial Hospital & Health Center, Little Company of Mary Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center. She looks forward to meeting new patients from Gardena and the surrounding areas for the many aspects of women’s healthcare.
