She holds a BS in Biology from The City College of NY and obtained her medical degree from NYIT-New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She did her OB/Gyn residency training at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan, now Mount Sinai –Beth Israel. Dr. Sophia, as she likes to be called, is a committed humanitarian who has provided medical relief efforts in places like the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Dr. Vivian E. Roston is an experienced and respected Ob/gyn with over 35 years of medical and academic experience. Vivian Edith Roston, MD born and raised in Queens NY, is a true New Yorker. Dr. Roston received her BA from John Hopkins University in June of 1984 then came back to NY to earn her MD at University of Rochester’s School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1991. After graduating, she completed her residency program at the Harlem Hospital in 1993. After her residency, Dr. Roston has worked as a physician in several hospitals and clinics including New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University, AdvantageCare Physicians, St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center, and Locum Tenens where she made an incredible impact as a physician and an educator.
