Megan Matt, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant at Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and her Master of Physician Assistant Practice from the University of Dayton. Prior to entering neurology, she built a diverse clinical background, including 12 years of service as a firefighter and paramedic, as well as experience practicing as a Physician Assistant in emergency medicine, gastroenterology, and OB/Gyn (women’s health).
She chose a career in medicine because of a lifelong desire to help others and a deep fascination with how the human body works and the science behind medical care. As a provider, she values listening closely to her patients’ concerns and combining those insights with medical evaluation to develop individualized care plans. She believes that building strong patient–provider relationships is essential to improving health outcomes and helping patients understand and navigate their health journey.
Her interest in neurology stems from the field’s intellectual complexity and its continual advancements in patient evaluation and treatment. She is drawn to neurology for the meaningful impact it can have on patients’ quality of life.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family—especially her children—being outdoors, and cheering on Chicago sports teams.
