Coral Spicer, MD, joined the Physicians and Surgeons for Women practice in Springfield, Ohio, in 2013. Board certified in Obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Spicer returned to her hometown of Springfield after completing her education to care for her community.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in biology, summa cum laude from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, Dr. Spicer went on to Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, where she received her Doctor of Medicine degree. Upon completion, Dr. Spicer completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at TriHealth in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 2013.
Throughout her education, Dr. Spicer received numerous awards, including the prestigious Nicholas J. Thompson Award for excellence in the study of obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Spicer was also nominated for the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her exemplary service, integrity, clinical excellence, and compassion.
Dr. Spicer’s work focuses on delivering outstanding gynecological care to her patients, including high and low-risk pregnancy care, work up and treatment of abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction and performing minimally invasive surgeries.She writes protocols to ensure up to date and high quality care throughout the practice and creates projects to increase efficiency for the office. Dr. Spicer’s patients appreciate her compassion, her willingness to listen to their concerns, and focus on their needs.
When she’s not at work, Dr. Spicer enjoys spending time with her husband and spoiling their shih tzu, Lula. She also enjoys traveling, reading and gardening.
Daniel Nesselroade, MD, became part of the Physicians and Surgeons for Women in Springfield, Ohio, in 1999. Board-certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Nesselroade has spent the past 26 years committed to women’s health both here and abroad.
After graduating cum laude with a degree in biology from Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky, Dr. Nesselroade received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, where he graduated with honors. He completed his OB/GYN residency at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, before traveling to Antwerp, Belgium. There, Dr. Nesselroade received his Tropical Medicine Certificate from Prince Leopold Institute for Tropical Medicine.
Upon completing his Tropical Medicine Certificate, Dr. Nesselroade served as a missionary physician in the Sikasso region of Mali, Africa. During the eight years he spent there, Dr. Nesselroade served as the medical director for the Koutiala Hospital for Women and Children.
Continuing his commitment to women’s health worldwide, Dr. Nesselroade has spent 11 years of his career on mission trips in both Europe and Africa. Locally, his patients commend his kindness and compassion, as well as his calming presence.
