Driven by his belief that better vision leads to better living, Dr. Tung has built his practice on a foundation of personalized care, advanced technology, and a welcoming environment.
Dr. Tung graduated summa cum laude from City College of New York and earned his medical degree from Cornell University in 1983. He completed his first residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in 1986, followed by a second residency in Ophthalmology at North Shore University Hospital in 1989.
An esteemed educator, Dr. Tung serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, where he mentors ophthalmology residents and shares his deep expertise in patient care.
Dr. Tung is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons. He is also an active member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the New York State Ophthalmological Society, the Long Island Ophthalmological Society, The Medical Society of the State of New York, and the Nassau County Medical Society.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Tung enjoys cycling, sailing, traveling, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Married with four adult children, he is dedicated to both his family and his mission to deliver world-class eye care to his patients.
