Dr. Ahmed Abdelhady is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery from the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Arizona, where he served as Chief Resident and was recognized with multiple honors, including the Ophthalmic Knowledge and Best Grand Rounds Presentation Awards.
Dr. Abdelhady earned his medical degree from Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Rowan University. Dr. Dreizen completed his undergraduate studies summa cum laude earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University. He graduated summa cum laude from Boston University Medical School, and completed his Ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. After two years of fellowship training at Emory University in Atlanta, he spent two years as Assistant Professor at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Dreizen joined Southern Shores Eye Center, P.A. (formerly Erickson, Dreizen & Lee Eye Center, P.A.) in 1988. Dr. Dreizen is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has served as President of the Medical Staff at Southern Ocean County Medical Center. He is also a member of the Wills Eye Hospital Society, the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and the Society of Heed Fellows.

Dr. Brader received her bachelor’s degree (cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, also in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There, she was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honors society.
She was awarded a Doris Duke clinical research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Ophthalmology, where she focused her research on Macular Degeneration. Dr. Brader completed an internship in preliminary internal medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Pennsylvania Scheie Eye Institute in Philadelphia.
She continued her training as a retina fellow at Harvard Medical School Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston, Massachusetts, where she received the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellowship Award.
Dr. Brader has received numerous other awards and honors, including Philadelphia Magazine/Castle Connolly Top Doctor, designation as Fellow of the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the practice has received the ASRS Retina Practice Commitment to Quality Award. She’s a member of numerous professional organizations and maintains her credentials with continuing education.

John Negrey, founding partner of Negrey Eye Associates, grew up in Havertown, son of a family practitioner.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Negrey attended the Wharton Graduate School of Business but decided to change careers and become a physician. He received a Masters Degree in Microbiology at the University of Pennsylvania and taught high school science before entering Temple University’s School of Medicine.
Dr. Negrey interned at Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center, then completed his military service before entering Wills Eye Hospital for his residency and fellowship in ocular plastic surgery. Before retiring from the teaching staff at both Wills Eye Hospital and Jefferson University, he had risen academically to an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology. He established, also, two primary care ophthalmology offices in Havertown and Media. Dr. Negrey is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Past President of Philadelphia Ophthalmology Club, Delaware Valley Ophthalmologic Society, and Former Chief of Ophthalmology at Delaware County Memorial Hospital.
His special interest is glaucoma. He consults in all areas of ophthalmology utilizing his vast experience to provide opinions and solutions for patients with ocular problems.
Dr. Negrey’s special interests outside of ophthalmology are participating in the development of his eight grandchildren, travel, and an occasional round of golf.
He is indebted to his wife and children for their support and encouragement in developing the practice. Of course, the success of our practice can only be made possible with the exceptional loyalty and experience of his superb staff.
Dr. Lee graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree with high honors from the University of Notre Dame. He attended Duke University Medical School and completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh where he finished as Chief Resident. Dr. Lee joined Southern Shores Eye Center in 1998. He is a managing partner since 2003. Dr. Lee is an active Board Certified Ophthalmologist serving the Manahawkin and surrounding communities for over 20 years. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He serves on the Operations Committee of AtlantiCare Surgery Centers. Dr. Lee is actively involved in Multifocal Premium and Toric IOLs in advanced sutureless cataract surgery. He offers minimally invasive glaucoma surgery at the time of cataract extraction using the Glaukos iStent.
Dr. Lee is proficient in Botox® and Juvéderm administration. He offers additional treatments to tighten, revitalize, and rejuvenate the skin. Dr. Lee is pleased to offer these services to his patients to maximize their vision and well-being!
Dr. Lee enjoys family time at the beach. He likes to root on his favorite sports teams and his childrens sport activities. When the opportunity presents itself, he enjoys time at the gym, golf course and quiet time with his wife and children.

Matthew Marano Jr., MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a national leader in laser vision eye care. He leads Marano Eye Care with locations in Denville, Livingston, and Newark, New Jersey.
Dr. Marano graduated from Columbia and then went to med school at George Washington University. A proud graduate of Swarthmore College, Dr. Raouf earned his Doctor of Medicine degree with honors from Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He refined his skills during an ophthalmology residency at the esteemed Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and Northwell Health Eye Institute. Further honing his specialization, he completed a clinical fellowship in corneal and external ocular disease and refractive surgery. Dr. Raouf is highly skilled in advanced procedures, including laser-assisted cataract surgery, cutting-edge corneal surgery, corneal cross-linking, and refractive eye surgeries such as LASIK and PRK.
An accomplished researcher, Dr. Raouf has contributed over a dozen articles to peer- reviewed medical journals. He remains an active member of The American Academy of
Ophthalmology and The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, reflecting his dedication to advancing his field. Born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey, Dr. Raouf is deeply honored to serve the community he knows so well. Edward Decker, MD, joined Marano Eye Care in 1996 and has provided the most cutting-edge ophthalmology services to patients since that time. He sees patients at the practice's three convenient locations in Denville, Livingston, and Newark, New Jersey.
Dr. Decker is an honor society graduate of Cornell University in New York City. He attended medical school at Upstate Medical University at Syracuse before completing his internship at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Decker served his residency at Summa Medical Center in Akron, Ohio, where he was selected to be Chief Resident senior year. As a Board Certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist, Dr. Decker cares for most eye disorders in patients of all ages.
With a commitment to his patients, Dr. Decker's professional skills and expertise are complemented by his desire to serve his patients with the care and respect they deserve. He has a particular interest in refractive surgery, laser vision correction, and the use of lasers to treat both diabetes and glaucoma. Dr. Decker has been performing laser vision correction surgery since 1996 and has significant experience in this field. He performs bladeless LASIK with the VISX and Intralase lasers. His expertise helps his patients achieve excellent visual outcomes.
Dr. Decker has presented at national meetings, authored journal articles, and is frequently invited to speak to his colleagues and other medical professionals. He has received numerous civic awards for community service. Dr. Decker has traveled to Ghana to perform surgeries on those who did not have access to the health care we take for granted.
Outside of the office, Dr. Decker enjoys scuba diving, photography, tennis, and cheering his kids on during their sporting activities. He is married and lives with his wife, Laura, and their three children, Carly, Ellie, and Noah, in the West Essex area.
