Eugene B. Wolchok, MD has been dedicated to providing excellent medical care to the Jacksonville community since he first established his ophthalmology practice in 1972. Dr. Wolchok earned his bachelor of science from City College of New York and his medical degree from State University of New York- Buffalo. He completed his internship at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, and served in the US Air Force before completing his residency in ophthalmology at Harvard University. Dr. Wolchok is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Florida Society of Ophthalmology. He was thrilled to welcome his son Stephen back to Jacksonville and into the practice in 2007.
Although he retired from patient care in 2019, Dr. Wolchok continues to provide his expertise as a consultant with Wolchok Eye Associates.
Stephen Wolchok, MD, is an ophthalmologist at Wolchok Eye Associates, PA in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Wolchok took over the practice from his father Eugene Wolchok, MD, after he retired. He looks forward to establishing long-lasting relationships with his patients, and helping them achieve optimum eye health.
Dr. Wolchok earned his Bachelor of Science from Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1996. After graduation, he continued on to the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. He returned to Emory University’s School of Medicine for his surgery internship, and rounded out his medical training with an ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas.
Dr. Wolchok was named a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology in 2008. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Board of Ophthalmology.
He has provided caring and comprehensive eye health services to patients at Wolchok Eye Associates, PA, since 2007.
