Dr. Sciaroni is a San Francisco Bay Area native and began practicing in the San Francisco area after completing a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Lake Tahoe Orthopaedic Institute in Zephyr Cove, Nevada. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz and her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Sciaroni focuses her practice in sports medicine and general orthopaedic surgery, with particular interest in surgery and rehabilitation of the shoulder and knee. She is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. She has served as a team physician for Skyline College and has worked with the St. Francis Center for Sports Medicine. Noel Goldthwaite, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon with over 25 years of experience practicing at Peninsula Orthopedic Associates in Daly City, California.
Dr. Goldthwaite earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of California at Davis and has served as the Chief of orthopedic surgery at the SpineCare Medical Group since 1988. He is also a member of the San Francisco Medical Society.
Dr. Goldthwaite has lectured nationally, authored several research studies, and presented original research on spinal fusions and numerous other state-of-the-art surgical techniques; neck pain treatments; pre- and post-operative evaluations of patient pain and pain management; the lumbar spine; and the effects of surgical decisions on patients. He has also contributed articles to Spine, Surgical Rounds for Orthopedics, International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine, and several other medical journals.

Dr. Victoria Barber is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and joined Peninsula Orthopedic Associates in Daly City, California, in 1996. Her interest in musculoskeletal injuries and diseases developed naturally through her participation in high school and collegiate athletics. Given her own athletic pursuits, Dr. Barber has an empathetic understanding of the impact musculoskeletal trauma and degenerative diseases have on her patients’ lives.
Dr. Barber is a 1986 graduate of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and a 1990 graduate of Yale University School of Medicine. Prior to heading west, Dr. Barber completed her surgical internship at George Washington University in Washington. Between 1992 and 1996, she completed her residency training at the San Francisco Orthopaedic Residency Program. In addition to the four-year residency program, Dr. Barber completed a year-long research fellowship at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco.
Dr. Barber is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the California Orthopaedic Association, and the American Medical Association, and she’s also a California Workers’ Compensation doctor.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Barber frequently participates in research projects and has presented at national conferences. Through her ongoing education, Dr. Barber is able to return her patients to their highest possible level of function using the latest techniques and medicine available.
