Bruce Markman, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at North Texas Orthopaedic & Spine in Plano, Frisco and Tyler, Texas. He has over 20 years of experience with arthroscopies, shoulder reconstruction surgeries, and surgeries of the elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle.

Dr. Markman received his medical education at the State University of New York and at the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University in Tel Aviv, Israel. After graduating with his doctorate of medicine, he moved to California for his surgery internship at the University of California at San Francisco. He stayed in San Francisco for his residency in orthopaedic surgery at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Then, Dr. Markman moved to Manhattan Beach, California, to complete a fellowship at the West Coast Center for Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. During his fellowship, he focused on sports medicine, arthroscopy, and shoulder, foot, and ankle surgeries.
Throughout his years of experience, Dr. Markman has been the team physician for the Tulsa Oilers of the East Coast Hockey League and the Tulsa Shock of the Women’s National Basketball Association in Oklahoma. David P. Brigati, MD is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon native to Fort Worth. He completed residency at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation including a year dedicated to hip and knee replacement research. He earned a unique fellowship in both joint replacement and value-based healthcare at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School before returning home to practice in Fort Worth. Dr. Brigati specializes in the full spectrum of operative and non-operative treatments for hip and knee arthritis along with injuries to the tendons, ligaments, and bones. He is an expert in the care of complex hip and knee deformities as well as problems with joint replacements. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. Dr. Torrance Walker is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. He earned his Medical Degree and specialty training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at the world-renowned Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN, where he gained vast experience in complex primary and revision joint replacement. Dr. Walker’s background in sports medicine and adult reconstruction places him in a unique position to handle a broad spectrum of knee and hip related conditions. He has dedicated himself to the highest standards of patient care and built a reputation for excellence in hip and knee reconstruction, joint replacement and total joint revision. He always looks for biologic or joint preserving approaches first and only recommends joint replacement surgery if it’s clearly the best or only choice for his patient. Dr. Walker was in a solo orthopedic practice in Arkansas for many years before moving to Texas.

Dr. Walker enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He volunteers with his church. He and his family are big sports fans and regularly attend college games in addition to the children’s sports activities. Dr. Walker also engages in community activities and serves as a volunteer coach for youth sports.
Dr Brezina was born and raised in Midland, Texas. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin with a BA from the Plan II honors program with an emphasis in philosophy. He then attended medical school at Texas Tech, and his residency in orthopedic surgery at Louisiana State University Shreveport. From there, Dr. Brezina accepted a position as the AO spine fellow in a one year combined orthopedic surgery/ neurosurgery program at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. This unique training experience is only available in a limited number of academic settings and allows for a comprehensive experience managing complex issues of the spine. He joined The Bone and Joint clinic immediately following his fellowship in 2008.
Dr. Brezina has co-authored textbook chapters addressing the origin and treatment of spine disorders. He has also contributed to academic publications and has given lectures and presentations at national spine and general orthopedic surgery meetings. He has an interest in treating disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine in adults. He has a special interest in adult degenerative scoliosis and is well trained in the newest surgical approaches and techniques. Dr. Brezina believes in a comprehensive approach toward treating disorders of the spine. Multimodality therapy, medications, and injections are a routine part initial non operative management of most disorders of the spine. When operative intervention is pursued, it is done following extensive discussions of the condition, risks, benefits, and alternative treatments available.
In his spare time, Dr. Brezina enjoys spending time with his family, amateur guitar, and traveling.

Dr. Milne was born and raised in Bloomfield Hills, MI. He did his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, followed by medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Following medical school, Dr. Milne did his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. Upon completion of residency Dr. Milne returned to Texas for his Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Milne has been practicing in Fort Worth since 1993. He served as the orthopedic team physician for TCU for 23 years. He has also served as the team physician for the Fort Worth Fire Hockey team, the Fort Worth Cavalry Arena Football League team and Trinity Valley High School. Dr. Milne is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at TCU, teaching in the Kinesiology department.
Dr. Milne is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has authored numerous articles and book chapters on surgery of the knee and shoulder.

Dovie McVean obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition of Allied Health at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in May of 1991. Ms. McVean earned her Masters of Science in Food Nutrition and Management at the University of Central Oklahoma in July of 1992 then went on to perform her Physician Assistant Preceptorship at Lutheran College of Health Professionals in Fort Wayne, Indiana between August 1995 and August 1997, where she graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Physician Assistant in August of 1997.
Ms. McVean has performed a variety of skills as a Physician’s Assistant over the last 24 years. She has triaged, diagnosed and treated illnesses and injuries from the neighborhood urgent care all the way to the emergency room. She has managed several clinical staff’s for 2 separate Orthopedic Clinics. She has performed as a first assistant in the operating room since 2001.
