David Lent, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Doctors United, with offices in the West Farms and Wakefield neighborhoods in Yonkers, New York. He is highly trained in orthopedic surgery, with over two decades of experience in the field.
Dr. Lent earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in health science from Yeshiva University in New York City, New York, and received his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine in New York City, New York.
He completed an orthopedic residency program at Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx, New York City, New York, and a sports medicine fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, New York.

He also worked as a professor at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Erie, Pennsylvania, and was voted Top Doctor by Westchester Magazine and Castle Connolly Medical.
He maintains his advanced medical credentials with ongoing education in the latest advancements in orthopedic medicine. Dr. Lent is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of numerous medical organizations. Dr. Burke Gao is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgeon at Northwell Health – Lenox Hill Hospital and Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
He specializes in the comprehensive care of the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow, with a particular focus on sports-related conditions in athletes, nerve injuries and reconstruction, and acute trauma. His expertise spans sport specific care, advanced microsurgical techniques, tendon and ligament reconstruction, fracture management, and procedures to restore motion and strength following complex injuries.

Louis Peter Re Jr., MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with expertise in sports medicine and orthopedic trauma at his office in the Midtown West area of Manhattan, New York City. He is a fellowship-trained shoulder surgeon specializing in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, repairs and revisions of complex rotator cuff tears, and shoulder replacement surgery.
Dr. Re completed his residency in the Department of Orthopaedics at Yale University School of Medicine and completed the Arthroscopic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. He has published several research projects involving shoulder and knee reconstructions. He has been a Clinical Instructor when he was at Yale, an Assistant Clinical Professor, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and is currently Clinical Instructor, Shoulder Reconstruction and Arthroscopy Lenox Hill Hospital.
Dr. Re is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Besides surgery, in the office he offers various forms of ultrasound-guided injection treatments including Viscosupplementation and PRP injections. He is an expert using the Ultrasound Machine to diagnose injuries and guide treatment injections.
He has been voted teacher of the year twice and is currently continuing to investigate the outcome of Graft Reconstruction for Massive Rotator Cuff Tears. As a tennis player and skier, Dr. Re has been a patient as well as caregiver, which gives him a unique perspective. (Ask him about his meniscus tear and his rotator cuff injury.)
