Afroze A. Hai, MD, specializes in internal medicine and pediatrics at Healthy Horizons Clinic in Pasadena, Texas. She has 29 years of experience, with over 24 years as a pediatrician.
Dr. Hai completed her medical school and pediatrics residency training in India. She then moved to the United States and pursued post-graduate training in a pediatrics residency program at Michigan State University in East Lansing. She practiced in Michigan for 20 years before moving to Houston to be closer to family.
She has been an advocate for children in her community and loves preventive medicine. Dr. Hai loves her role in taking care of children’s physical and mental health. Her dream is to see her patients excel in school, both academic and other fields. She enjoys mentoring medical students as well. Dr. Sushma Penmetsa, known by her patients as Dr. Pen is a pediatrician with extensive experience in rendering medical care for children from the newborn age up through the age of 18. She completed a pediatric residency program at Harlem Hospital in New York and in UTMB, Galveston.
During her time at the residency in UTMB Dr. Penmetsa received the best Residents Research Award. Dr. Penmetsa enjoys caring for patients and believes in the patient / parent trust in their doctor. Vy Ngo, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant at Heights Dermatology in Rosenberg, Texas. She joined the practice in 2022.
Vy graduated from the University of Houston in Texas in 2016 with her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences. She then attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania, obtaining her master’s in physician assistant studies. Prior to completing her graduate studies, Vy worked as a medical assistant in dermatology which piqued her initial interest in the field.
As a physician assistant, Vy has a passion for positive patient care and achieving the best results for her patients. She is trained and qualified in performing comprehensive physical exams, along with diagnosing and treating medical dermatologic conditions. Karon Young-Lightbody, MD, is an experienced pediatrician serving the Calvary Medical Clinic team in Livingston, Texas. She joined the team in 2021, bringing over 25 years of experience. Dr. Young-Lightbody is compassionate, friendly, and loves getting to know her patients.
After earning her medical degree, Dr. Young-Lightbody began her residency program at Cornwall Regional Hospital in Montego Bay, Jamaica, specializing in pediatrics, before relocating and training at the Cook County Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Young-Lightbody has worked tirelessly as an attending physician in many renowned facilities along the east coast. She has spent the last 20+ years honing her professional skills as a pediatrician and is well-versed in diagnosing and treating pediatric conditions.
