Dr. Jared Dunahay is a board-certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics who joins SNHIMA as the practice’s first dedicated pediatric provider. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, and completed his pediatric residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York.
Prior to joining SNHIMA, Dr. Dunahay served as Section Chief of Ambulatory Pediatrics at Elliot Health System in Bedford and Manchester. In this role, he led outpatient pediatric operations, mentored clinical staff, and contributed to quality improvement initiatives focused on enhancing patient care. He brings more than eight years of experience caring for children from newborns through young adulthood.
Dr. Dunahay chose pediatrics because he believes the relationship between a family and their pediatrician is one of the most meaningful and lasting partnerships in medicine. He is passionate about supporting parents through every stage of childhood — from those first nervous newborn visits to the unique challenges of adolescence — while ensuring families feel heard, supported, and confident in their child’s care.
Dr. Dunahay lives in New Hampshire with his two-year-old daughter, whom he says is his greatest teacher. Outside of the office, he enjoys photography, video games, writing code, listening to music, and expanding his French vocabulary. He is excited to help grow pediatric care at SNHIMA and looks forward to serving the families of southern New Hampshire for years to come.
