James Beegan, MD, is a double-board-certified physiatrist and electrodiagnostic medicine specialist at the Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders (DCND), providing high-quality neurology care to adults at the Centerville office. Other DCND-staffed office locations include Beavercreek, Springfield, Eaton, Wilmington, Hillsboro, and Vandalia, Ohio.
Dr. Beegan began his education at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, earning his Bachelor of Science in English and biological services. Then, he enrolled at the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, obtaining his Doctor of Medicine.
Dr. Beegan completed an internal medicine internship at Mt. Carmel Health System (formerly Mt. Carmel Medical Center) in Columbus, Ohio, and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Ohio State University Hospitals, also in Columbus. Dr. Beegan excelled in these programs, earning the title of chief resident.
Dr. Beegan diagnoses and treats various neurological disorders, but he has a special interest in spasticity management and electromyography (EMG).
Dr. Beegan has decades of experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Dr. Beegan’s dedication and hard work haven’t gone unnoticed. He received the Grandview Change of Heart Award in 2006 and the High Achieving Team Award for the Neuro-Rehab and Balance Center from the Kettering Health Network in 2010.
Outside of work, Dr. Beegan enjoys spending time with his wife and three adult children.

Ryan Maenpa, MD, is a double-board certified physiatrist and electrodiagnostic medicine specialist at the Dayton Center for Neurological Disorders (DCND), serving adults in Dayton, Centerville, Beavercreek, and Springfield, Ohio.
Dr. Maenpa went to college at Ohio University in Athens, earning his Bachelor of Science in biological studies. Then, he obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio.
Dr. Maenpa completed an internal medicine internship at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio, and a residency at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota.
At DCND, Dr. Maenpa has a special interest in electrodiagnostic studies and electromyography (EMG), neurological rehabilitation, and post-amputation care. These tools give patients real-time information that can be used to relieve uncomfortable symptoms and improve their quality of life.
When he isn’t working with patients, Dr. Maenpa enjoys researching and writing medical papers. He’s presented at local and national conferences on various topics, including traumatic brain and brachial plexus injuries, plantar fasciitis, and myopathies. Dr. Maenpa is also an advocate of amputees and works closely with leaders in the industry.
Dr. Maenpa is a member of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He holds board certification from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Outside the office, Dr. Maenpa enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He’s also a coach, woodworker, and gardener.
