Michael Hur, MD is a fellowship-trained pain specialist passionate about utilizing a multimodal approach to patient care through the combination of interventional procedures, pharmacologic treatments, physical therapy, and pain psychology. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, he returned to his home city of Chicago to complete his medical school training at the University of Illinois in 2017. He then went on to complete his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Michigan Hospital followed by advanced fellowship training in Pain Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is dual board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and currently a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, North American Neuromodulation Society, and Spine Intervention Society.
Dr. Hur is excited to return home and provide quality care to those in the Chicagoland area. As an expert in treating musculoskeletal conditions, spine-related conditions, and complex pain disorders, he has interests in minimally invasive procedures, neuromodulation, and alternative therapies to help those that are struggling with pain. Heβs dedicated to finding a tailored and unique treatment plan for all his patients to not only help alleviate their pain but to also improve their lives. Dr. Hur is an avid fan of Chicago sports, golf, tennis, and formula 1 racing.
