A New York native, Paul LaRosa, MS, PT, founded Empire Physical Therapy & Athletic Rehabilitation, PC on the East Side of Manhattan in New York City in 2003.
Paul completed his undergraduate degree at Bucknell University before working for several years as a personal trainer. He went on to earn his master's degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
After starting his practice, Paul earned an additional certification in manual therapy. At Empire PT, he emphasizes the importance of manual adjustments as part of a comprehensive physical therapy strategy.
Paul worked for several years at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, focusing on neurology, post-op care, and orthopedic rehab. Later, he became the supervisor for Lenox Hill's outpatient physical therapy center.
During his time at Lenox Hill, Paul gained valuable experience and training in orthopedic physical therapy. He also honed his expertise in helping patients recover from surgery, traumatic injury, and cardiovascular conditions.
In recent years, Paul has also served as a teaching assistant at Columbia University and a consultant for the Body Works MD home rehab video series. A firm believer in the importance of sports medicine and physical therapy, Paul works to make these treatments accessible to as many people as possible.
When not working, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons. He’s a lifelong athlete and gym buff with a particular love of tennis, skiing, and football. Paul is passionate about working with young athletes, and he currently coaches youth baseball and soccer.
