Dr. Allen Winebarger, PHD

I am a clinical psychologist who works with kids, families and adults. I have spent my entire career working to make psychology understandable and useful to real people in their real lives. I strive to do this both in my day-to-day practice, as well as in the self help books I have written over the years. My practice is devoted to helping people as they cope with difficulties in their day-to-day lives. I try to avoid psychobabble and to take a down to earth approach to the work I do. Over the course of my career I have had many wonderful opportunities to grow as a professional. I have written a number of self help books, and designed a day treatment camp program for kids with ADD/ADHD that has been run in at least four cities across the country. As an Air Force psychologist I learned how to bring psychology to men and women serving our country in stressful and dangerous ways, and how to accomplish my mission with the resources at hand.
