She founded Medical Care for Women because she knows that each woman is unique — as is her life. At her practice, Dr. Olanescu tailors her approach and her medical services to each woman’s specific needs.
After earning her MD at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania, Dr. Olanescu broadened her expertise through an internal medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and an OB/GYN residency at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, New Jersey. Today, she is a fellow of the American Board of Internal Medicine and of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Olanescu is deeply committed to serving the multicultural and multiethnic community of Queens, New York. She is a board-certified OB/GYN with physician affiliations at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital, and Flushing Hospital.

Staff are wonderful , the wait time needs to be work on Immediately . my appointment was at 2:30 came in at 1:30. Still didn’t get my name called until 4:00
Only the waiting time is very long….My appt was for 2:30pm was called @ 3:45pm to be seen……Otherwise is not a bad place at all….

Dr. O is the best obgyn. She cares about all her patients and makes you feel so safe. This is my second baby with her and I could not ask for a better doctor. So sweet, considerate and passionate. Absolutly love her!
