About Ann Gilkey, LPC

Ann Gilkey. M.S., LPC, NCC, CCMHC, completed her Master of Science (MS) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with Walden University in 2016 and is licensed through the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). In addition to providing traditional in-person talk therapy and online virtual counseling, Mrs. Gilkey includes horses and horsemanship principles as a part of the counseling process. She has been an equestrian professional for many years and is certified with the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) to provide Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. Mrs. Gilkey is also trained to provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Her past experiences include working with at-risk youth, incarcerated youth, military veterans and their families, couples, children and adolescents, and engaging in community counseling with individuals struggling with a variety of personal and behavioral issues.
