I’ve been putting off finding a new eye Dr for months. I’ve been really stressed with work and it’s tough finding quality medical care on the weekends. This place really exceeded my expectations. No wait time. Very efficient, veryShow more professional, didnt waste any of my time or stress me out. Only talked about stuff i wanted to talk about and not really much else. That’s what I look for in a provider. Office staff was excellent as well. Answered my questions, simple intake process. Location was convenient and cozy. Chill quiet jazz music in the waiting room. I feel silly for putting it off that long. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!!

Benjamin Arthur, OD, is the experienced optometrist and owner of Perspective Family Eyecare in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York, where he puts patient health and outcomes above all else. Dr. Arthur takes an integrative approach to eye care, partnering with his patients to design a plan that meets their vision needs, utilizing a combination of cutting-edge treatments and alternative therapies.
After earning his Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, Dr. Arthur went on to earn both his Master’s of Science in vision science and his Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City.
Prior to opening Perspective Family Eyecare, Dr. Arthur gained valuable experience working for private optometry practices throughout Brooklyn and Queens, in New York City, as well as in New Jersey. However, his ultimate goal was to always serve his community and help change the patient perspective on the value of eye care by making it accessible and affordable for all.
With his warm and welcoming demeanor, Dr. Arthur makes all of his patients feel right at home as soon as they walk through the door.

First time there and it was such a positive experience! My husband and I booked our yearly eye exam along with both of us getting an updated eyeglasses prescription, and contact lenses for him. The front desk staff was very friendly, the doctor took his time with both of us and answered any questions we had. When my husband was picking out his new glasses, the gentleman that was helping him went over all the options and what the insurance covered or didn't cover in detail. Overall we're very happy we found this place!

As a new patient, I was very pleased with the professionalism and service provided by Dr. Arthur and the staff of Perspective Family Eyecare. The staff were easy to talk with and very knowledgeable of insurance providers, financing options and the selection of frames. Dr. Arthur continued to trend of great service with a thorough exam and warm demeanor throughout the visit.

Ayo (sp?) and Kiana at this practice are truly the best assistants. They are fun, personable, and go above and beyond with the information and experience. Dr. Hong was efficient with the exam, although I can imagine there may be a disconnect going from Kiana's vivacious personality to Dr. Hong's more formidable approach, haha (although I don't hold that against Dr. Hong and neither should you!) Looking forward to coming back for my contacts refitting :)
