C Funsho Fagbohun, MD, PhD, FACOG, FACS, is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been in practice in Fort Bend County since 2000. He is proud to provide healthcare services to the community of Sugar Land and Richmond, Texas, at Center for Women’s Health.
Dr. Fagbohun completed his MD degree and was an assistant professor in Nigeria before moving to the United States on a full scholarship to pursue a PhD degree at Marquette University in Wisconsin. He completed his residency training at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Fagbohun is a multiple award-winning specialist who provides exceptional Obstetrics, Gynecology, and minimally invasive surgery care in an atmosphere of complete trust and confidence. He has won numerous awards including being named “Resident educator of the year” and “Outstanding Chief Resident” during his training. Dr. Fagbohun was voted one of America’s top Obstetricians and Gynecologist by the Consumers’ Research Council of America as a specialist in practice. Dr. Fagbohun is also a BioTE® certified provider, providing patients with excellent bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and guidance. In addition, Dr. Fagbohun serves as the supervisor of the medical weight loss program at Essence Medical Spa.
Dr. Fagbohun was an Assistant Adjunct Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Michigan State College of Human Medicine. He is a former Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a former Medical Director of Women’s Services, he is also a former Chief of Staff, and a former member of the Medical Executive Committee at OakBend Medical Center. Dr. Fagbohun is currently a Clinical Assistant Profesor at Sam Houston State College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Clinical Professor at Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine at the University of Houston. He is proficient in obstetrics, comprehensive gynecology, and minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic hysterectomy. Dr. Fagbohun is trained in Aesthetic Medicine. He is an avid teacher with numerous published articles in scientific journals. Dr. Fagbohun is an active member and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). He is one of the few obstetricians and gynecologists in the nation elected as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Dr. Fagbohun is blessed with five wonderful adult daughters and one adult son and resides in Fort Bend County with his wife, Yolanda. They are also blessed with grandchildren. He enjoys being active in the Fort Bend community and has led medical mission trips to Africa. His interests include travel, spending time with his family, and mentoring middle, high school and college students who are interested in the medical career. He is also a venture capitalist and entrepreneur. Dr. Fagbohun is engaging, and his immediate familiarity with his patients is welcoming and comforting.

Dr. Fagbohun is one of best doctors I have personally come across. He breaks down all information to the point of understanding exactly what is required and or suggested. He takes the time to speak with not only me, but my husband so that we were able to make a sound decision regarding my treatment plan. We highly recommend him for all gynecology needs.

Very professional and very nice doctor sweet I love her
I recently found out I’m pregnant after experiencing a miscarriage in the summer. We had our first ultrasound yesterday and my husband and I found out to our surprise were expecting TWINS! Not only were we surprised and ecstatic, Dr. Rios was also excited for us. She gave me a great big hug! Dr. Rios really cares about her patients through her bedside manner. She’s so kind and answers all your questions. I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Rios.
I’m so happy to have found Dr. Rios. I experienced a miscarriage during the summer, Rios and staff were comforting and helped us in every possible way to make that experience less painful when it came down to the medical/bill aspect. She continued to check on me via phone call. She’s caring and very personable.

I had not seen Dr. Fagbohun in a few years. He recognized me right away. There was a huge smile. During the visit he was still able to hear my concerns. That is all a patient wants is to be heard and a solution or option given.
