From my perspective of Dr McCann I was very impressed. He came to talk to me prior to the procedure, answered a question I had, and generally was encouraging about the procedure. Time wise the procedure was relatively quick. In aShow morell honesty I was mildly anxious about the procedure as you might imagine given that I'm a lifelong reader. I was very encouraged when at my two hour post procedure follow-up, my vision on my surgical eye tested was 20/40. I expect further improvement, so I am quite satisfied at this point.

David McCann, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and oculoplastic specialist at Rocky Mountain Eye Center. He treats patients at the practice’s Missoula and Hamilton, Montana, locations - primarily based in the Missoula office.
As an oculoplastic surgeon, Dr. McCann performs surgical procedures related to the orbit, eyelids, tear ducts, and face. He has a special interest in cosmetic ophthalmological procedures, such as the correction of droopy eyelids, eyelid reconstruction, eye lifts, brow lifts, and Botox® injections. He also maintains expertise in the repair of tear duct obstructions and orbital fractures, and performs cataract surgery with state-of-the-art technology, like premium intraocular lens implants.
Dr. McCann attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical sciences with high distinction and earned his medical degree. He relocated to Hawaii to complete an internship at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, and then completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. He finished his medical training at the St. John Health System in Warren, Michigan, where he completed a fellowship in oculoplastic, orbital, and neuro-ophthalmic surgery.
He’s originally from Michigan, and spent 15 years living in Hawaii, where he taught as an assistant clinical professor of surgery in the ophthalmology division at the University of Hawaii’s John A. Burns School of Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, mountain biking, and skiing.

My eyelid surgery was handled very professionally and efficiently. The nurses were fantastic and "held my hand" through the entire procedure, easing my anxiousness regarding the surgery. The instructions were clear and all of my questions were answered before the surgery. The information for after care that was sent home with me was very helpful.
