I have had hammertoes for years and was told by my other doctor that only the invasive surgery that takes at least 6 weeks to recover from would work for me. I had asked about a simple procedure for the problem and he said he wouShow moreldn't do it. When I went to Dr. Mastracco, he suggested the simple surgery, I had one toe done and went back for three more! I am so relieved because the hammertoes were becoming more and more painful. Dr. Mastracco is personable, knowledgeable, and can assess the situation and act accordingly His office staff are fantastic also!
I was referred to Dr Mastracco by a nurse at my Dr’s office down the street. She had arthritis in her big toe and loved him he took care of her so he was my first choice with dealing with my ingrown toenails on my two big toes. IShow more have suffered much discomfort over the years with this issue. Dr Mastracco is very gentle and makes you feel comfortable. His office staff is also very accommodating I would recommend Dr Mastracco to anyone with foot or ankle problems hands-down!
Dominick Mastracco, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon at Mastracco Foot & Ankle in North Canton, Ohio.
Dr. Mastracco was raised in Jackson Township, Ohio. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Walsh University. After graduating, he moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he completed his master’s degree in biomedical sciences at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was active in medical research for aging bone cells and presented his findings at the national Experimental Biology conference in 2013.
Upon completing his graduate studies, he returned to Ohio and attended Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine for his medical degree. He received residency training in podiatric surgery at Mercy Health – Lorain Hospital.
His training consisted of a one-year internship at Cleveland Clinic, followed by two years of extensive surgical training at MetroHealth Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Akron General (Level 1 Trauma Centers) for foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care. While in residency, Dr. Mastracco co-authored several journal articles published by Northern Ohio Foot and Ankle Journal. He was also named chief resident during his final year.
Dr. Mastracco is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the Ohio Foot & Ankle Medical Association. He is affiliated with the wound care centers at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital and Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Residing in Canton with his wife Jennifer, he is proud to call it their home and be a part of the larger community. The Mastracco family has three children, Amelia, Dominick Jr., and Francis.

This is a very nice place. Everybody in the office is really nice. Everybody makes you feel at ease. The doctor is really wonderful. He takes time with you. Does not rush you in and out. Everybody does a wonderful job. I recommend this office highly.
Was very attentive and explained everything very well.
Very friendly and professional staff.
Nurse was impatient with elderly mother filling out first time patient forms. We arrived in plenty of time and had the forms filled out before the scheduled appointment time. Nurse was the abrasive and I not compassionate that my mom had tennis shoes on double-knotted and had to take extra time to untie. The scheduling and office staff was very pleasant and professional.
Everyone is friendly and my appointments are always easy and timely!

I absolutely love Dr. Mastracco and his staff! I came in because my chiropractor recommended Customer orthotics, and while talking with Dr. Mastracco, he was also able to help me with an issue I was having with my toenails. He gave me several options and allowed me to pick the one that was best for me. Professional, friendly and inviting, and I couldn’t say great things about this practice!
My first time to a podiatrist (I'm 73) and probably should have gone in years ago! My problem was relatively minor but Dr. Mastrscco provided a thorough exam, listened carefully, took some X-rays, and then his diagnosis. I was very impressed (I'm an RN and not easily impressed) with the entire visit. He also is a very good teacher, which is high on my list. I was referred by my PCM Dr. Tamburro - and if he recommends someone, they are going to be good!
