I have seen Dr. Glod in the past for quite a few years . I am going to have him correct my bunion and two dislocated toes because I had a foot Dr in Massachusetts do the operation and it was a total disaster ,he ,the doctor did noShow morething that we talked about and it had gotten progressively worse . I have total faith in Dr. Glod but did get scared and now I know he will do it at a Rhode Island facility . At one point he was going to do it at St. Anne's in Attleboro but because I am on r.i. Medicare I was told I had to stay in R.I. to have it done .

Douglas Glod, DPM, FACFAS, has been in private practice for over 30 years, specializing in all aspects of foot and ankle care. Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery, he serves patients at Rhode Island Foot Care’s offices in Pawtucket and East Providence, Rhode Island.
Dr. Glod has lectured both nationally and internationally on various foot and ankle pathologies, authored several papers, and was also a co-investigator with a cooperative interdisciplinary podiatric geriatrics program at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island. In addition, he is the Residency Director of the Podiatric Medical and Surgical Resident Program with reconstructive rearfoot and ankle at Kent Hospital.
Over the past 30 years, Dr. Glod has further specialized in complex reconstructive foot and ankle surgery in addition to working with limb salvage in diabetic and high-risk patient populations. Using technologies like ringed external fixation, total ankle implants, and the latest in technology with internal fixation and ortho-biologics, he has been able to pioneer techniques in limb salvage that few in Rhode Island or in the New England area have ventured.
Dr. Glod previously served as the Chief of Podiatry, Director of Podiatric Residency, and Chair of Credentials Committee at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, as well as a clinical assistant professor at Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He is currently the Director of Podiatric Residency at Kent Hospital.
He holds hospital affiliations with Kent Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, Rhode Island Hospital, Roger Williams Medical Center, Landmark Medical Center, Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, and Saint Anne’s Hospital.
Dr. Glod is a member of the American Diabetes Association, American Podiatric Medical Association, and Rhode Island Podiatric Medical Association. He is also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.

Dr Glod has great bedside manner and is making my left foot look and work great. He has a history of fixing another provider’s mistake.
He’s the best doctor I ever had to work on my foot especially my husband Chaco feet and now he’s walking normal. His feet looks normal. I would recommend him to all my friends and family and my enemy. He’s patient he’s kind and he understands how I’m feeling about my medical problem with my feet.
